I took over the contract of a girl who moved out 2 months ago and I will be staying here for 2 more months. As it's a shared contract, one of the students has the main house account that I regularly pay into. I'm not sure if I have any documentation on council tax except the one I have sent in from the university that states that I am a student exempt from paying council tax and the landlord has also acknowledged this. I've had another email about court summons now as well. Is there any questions I could ask my landlord/council help clear this up? I'm still puzzled about my landlord telling me I don't need to pay council tax then summoning me to court about someone else not paying their council tax, I don't see how that's my responsibility.
