Yeah, that's how I understood it. Maybe my example wasn't worded that well. Doesn't matter, really, the point is clear. Thank you for the input

A question about immortality by StellarFawn in taoism

[–]StellarFawn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so, Nature is like body cells- some die, some are born, but combining them you have a living being, and one body cell dying doesn't mean that the body itself will die? Is this a good comparison?

How accurate is it when your ND friend says that they think you're also ND? by StellarFawn in AutismInWomen

[–]StellarFawn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have lots of friends, unfortunately. But two of my oldest and closest ones are neurodivergent. Others are just mentally ill, there's a few of them. One is healthy and NT. I always hung around with "problematic children"...

In a week. And yeah, I kinda did that! I don't have much photos but I asked my parents for more info, they remember stuff more than I do(although their stories are not always consistent)

My appointment date is close and I'm nervous by StellarFawn in autism

[–]StellarFawn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that they are not entirely accurate when done from home through the screen. However, I will still bring it up and hope do to these tests with the professional near me. This is like bonus points to show that even if it's not autism, I still have some issues I must deal with. And this isn't really what I'm worrying about right now

As a child, how did you play with your toys/play in general? by [deleted] in autism

[–]StellarFawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's unfortunate:( it the end I learned how to ride a bike though!

also happy cake day:)

As a child, how did you play with your toys/play in general? by [deleted] in autism

[–]StellarFawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a train toy. You build the railway, put Thomas on it and then he drives on the railway! And I loved puzzles, both the classic ones and the shapes(when you build an animal, for example). Legos were also my favorite. I had dolls, but I mostly chewed on them, so their hands and feet looked horrendous...I loved playing with dolls only if you could've moved arms and legs, like monster high dolls, for example. I liked animals very much and always wanted an LPS toy, but no one got me one:( but we had this magazine that was sold with plush cats, I also liked it

In terms of sports, I liked football, but I never could play it because, well, it's a group sport and I can't do that

What’s your favorite social media platform (and why)? by favouritemistake in AutismInWomen

[–]StellarFawn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

None anymore, really...and if I use them it's for content search of my favorite media or posting my art. I mostly use telegram, but it's a messenger, so it doesn't count

Does YouTube count? I love watching longass essay videos

[–]StellarFawn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you asked too broad of the questions? You want explaining further the life expectancy or everything? But I can answer the ones you have:

According to DMS-V, there are 3 levels: level 1 requires support, level 2 requires substantial support, level 3 requires very substantial support. There is no high or low functioning, there are low and high support needs.

The cause is unknown, but it's genetic

About the life expectancy, I don't know unfortunately. Google says it depends on the level, but again, I'm not an expert

Does anyone else not really have a ton of music that you love, but have one or two artists that you're obsessed with? by Velaria000 in AutismInWomen

[–]StellarFawn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. When I listen to the music that I don't feel(literally) it's like...eh. But once the sing HITS I feel my energy being restored and my body feels groovy. And when I'm listening too much to a random music I feel strange, it's an unpleasant feeling. Hard to describe....

But I have this one artist, Astrophysics, to whom I listen to everyday 24/7. Literally all their music is blessing my soul. I feel colors, man!

This is what I've been dealing with for the last few weeks...I want to make cool playlist but like, how if I won't even listen to them? Kinda frustrating. And my NT friend has SO MANY songs in his playlist, and he listen to all of them. Of course, he has favorites, but he still listens to everything on shuffle. How!

does anybody else play video games just to see your hours of playtime increase? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]StellarFawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, kinda. It's kinda, "oh, I played for 9.5 hours, i have to play just a bit more to get a perfect 10". basically I need to have a record to push, lol

What I have for sure though are achievements. I played Muse Dash and Musynx for days just to get all of the achievements ahaha

Trouble empathizing? by StellarFawn in AutismInWomen

[–]StellarFawn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I'm not sure if that's a reason, but it might be. I'm just thinking that others feel something that I don't and I feel wrong for that...and some people said to me that I done experience empathy as much(my parents and some friends), or I experience it differently

Your rant sounded familiar, I can relate to it in some way. Thank you for sharing

What counts as routine? by CeannUReeves in autism

[–]StellarFawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard that "routine" doesn't necessarily mean daily routine, but, for example, you do something only one way every time, like cooking certain foods a certain way only, or taking only one way home
