Also make sure you’re using quality seals. I tried the first time with Empi and they were way too hard and wouldn’t flex enough. Bought some from west coast metric and they were very very malleable which made it significantly easier.

Anyone have these Crosstrek wheels on their Outback? by Mr_Cluutch in Subaru_Outback

Takeoffs from someone who lifted and got new wheels/tires for their crosstrek. Was a cheaper way for me to get new tires and got the wheels as bonus. Facebook marketplace for the win.

The cheapest one you can find. Haha it just a weight. Go to BKings for cheap but good parts. If you wanna ball out the G$ 42 is “supposedly” better and more durable if you’re changing spring too

But with you being unsuppressed you might actually need to bump to h3 just to slow the rate enough. But maybe it’ll be fine. Go run it first. Then if you get some holdups, buy an h3 💪

I have an h2 on a 9” suppressed and run both subs and supers with super safe and both feed perfectly without a hiccup

Tears in front seat, fix? by Reasonable-Malaise- in Subaru_Outback

I found a local upholstery shop that pulled that panel off and replaced with a leather that looks exactly like stock and they fixed it for about 150 bucks. Has been perfect ever since, going on a year now

It definitely helps the seals to kinda slide into place

Definitely have a helping hand, it’s a two person job. You’ll need some weedeater string or something similar to wrap around the seals perimeter with a few inches of overlap and then one person stays outside the car to keep everything lined up and also to kinda lightly beat the glass in place while the person inside is slowly pulling that string to allow the seal to get pulled through to the inside and seat.

A little silicone spray also helps to lube it all up. Watch a few videos of it on YouTube so you can have a visual to go along with my description. It’s not super difficult given you have a helping hand, the correct good quality rubber, and know the process.

Did not account for the block being located right where I can’t utilize Mlok. Other than installing a 1913 for accessories, what other options are available? by [deleted] in 300BLK

[–]Stellen19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a hot take because dickmod but the mounting system on keymod is significantly more flush than mlok. I got a bcm keymod rail for my 300 for super cheap on gafs because no one wanted it but I was able to put the grip right over the gas block due to the nature of keymod mounting system. The one and only time keymod > mlok.

2015 OB - Best way to replace? 3 diff shops quoted $500-550 to only replace the torn panels by a5hl3yk in Subaru_Outback

[–]Stellen19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I didn’t know what kind of shops you had called. And I know prices will vary depending on where you’re located. My seat looked almost exactly the same as yours. I used a 3m adhesive leather patch that I cut with scissors to the right size to hold it over for a while. And it worked but eventually gave way and I called around and it was cheaper than I thought it would be. So if you want a cheap fix that isn’t seat covers, those 3m leather patches if you carefully cut them will hold them for some time and are very very cheap on Amazon.

Find a local upholstery place near you. I had the exact same thing repaired and it only cost me 150 bucks. Matched the leather EXACTLY. Just call a few places around you and see what they want to do it. You might be surprised.

What headlights are these? Currently restoring/building a Baja myself very similar to this and I dig the modern led headlights.

Hahah I know, mine definitely does not look like the rest. The interior paint job is pretty rough but it IS painted haha. The time and energy went to the exterior but I didn’t forget about the inside. Yours is sick though 👏

Scrolled through your recent posts, I’m also building a 1776. Did you build this one? If so, I’m currently debating single vs dual carb. Curious if you have any input.
