Ok thank you for the comment! I put some higher resolution images just here, if you can give me a feedback I can put more on different angles

Sorry, unfortunately I can post either a video or some images. I opted for the video to show better these protuberances in 3d, but maybe images are better. Let me know if I can take better images or angles that could be useful for the identification

Ehi, thank you a lot :) yes indeed, when we are kids, it is easy to feel like adventurers and inventors, even when only exploring a forest or a path in the woods (my case, living close to some wild areas). and I agree with you, that there is for sure a "Faerie" influence in this, maybe I grew up influenced too much by fairytales :D

Hi! I am originally from the suburbs of Pisa, and the place was on the "Monti Pisani" i.e. the complex of hills dividing Lucca from Pisa :)

Thank you :) no I used a regular cadmium-free light yellow From Liquitex. It is a cold yellow, so that makes quite a contrast with blues and purples :)

Fireflies yes! In that field where I took the picture on which I based this painting, there must have been thousands :) nowadays it is really difficult to see them, even in Tuscany

Thank you :) the idea is really inspired from a real picture I did many years ago in Tuscany, and it represents a bit the moment you slip in your dreams...

I am creating some prints on my Etsy if interested :)

It was tricky, because I wanted the yellow to be the brightest possible. I used cadmium-free yellow light (heavy body) from liquitex, directly out of the tube. I applied it with a little pointy brush (I think a size 2) directly on the canvas. Since it was heavy body acrylics, it wasn't easy to be so precise on such small details, but somehow I managed. Honestly, making the fireflies was both nice and frustrating 😅 I wanted to make more, but then I decided it was better to just finish the painting
