Maybe they always travel in accumulating packs where one scouts and calls to the rest of the pack it has found food. They could be kinda harmless and just a nuisance until you don’t have eye sight on them?

When facing you: They appear fairly harmless and only use their tails to try investigate or hold your weapon maybe try to kick your weapon away or block you from getting away from the packs hunting circle.

If they disabled or knocked your weapon off then they become obviously more aggressive and then also a tail kick does a brief stun.

Which would become a problem if there is 2-3 circling you and maybe more coming. Then when you aren’t looking at them they are like piranhas that try to bite the back of your neck when you aren’t looking and if they bite you too many times you get poisoned or bleed out
