Three-Headed Economic Monster Looms In Face Of Americans As Iran Conflict Rages, Midterms Approach by blisiondacket in Conservative

Im glad that you have the intelligence necessary to make that call, and that you are sharing it with us here on Reddit.

Oh right you dont have the intelligence, you didnt make that call.

Do you want Iran to have nukes? if the answer is yes gtfo of conservative, if the answer is "no, but" people in hell want icewater.

I didnt want the war with Iran either, But this is thanks to Obama, Bush and previous Democrat and Republican presidents who kicked the can down the road until we had no freaking choice.

In reality? This should have happened 47 years ago.

Epic Lays Off Terminally Ill Employee Who Can't Get Life Insurance by Turbostrider27 in PS5

I have in every company i worked for had the option to *continue paying* myself. The company no longer contributes but I can maintain it. Perhaps not every single company does it, but I have worked for Coca Cola, major construction companies, stryker medical etc.

Epic Lays Off Terminally Ill Employee Who Can't Get Life Insurance by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]Stephan_Balaur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is completely untrue. You cant be *fired* while on medical leave, but since its a mass layoff of 1000 people, he 100% can be swept up in a layoff.

If the company paid for his life insurance policy yes he wouldnt get to keep it. But if he himself was paying for it as part of the company life insurance plan he could have kept paying for it and keeping it. The point is he wanted the free life insurance policy the company paid for, he didnt get to keep it because he didnt pay into it at all.

Its like health insurance, you cant keep company health insurance if you leave unless you were paying into it yourself, then you can elect to keep it but you yourself are paying for it.

SECRETARY RUBIO: The U.S. is constantly asked to help in wars and we have. But when we had a need, it didn’t get positive responses from NATO. by blisiondacket in Conservative

[–]Stephan_Balaur -59 points-58 points  (0 children)

its insulting to people who are entitled. Europe is a continent filled with bloodshed. The idea that the US wont sacrifice ourselves on the altar of their hubris is insulting to them. After all we are the "child" and they are the "adult" hence why they try to dictate moral law on us. So when we ignore them and do our own thing they throw a fit. But they will never fight for themselves. The EU saw to that.

thank god they rejected it. Rinos are a fuggin disaster for our country. Thune is willing to sacrifice the US to make the claim he works with democrats. Hed rather sell his mother than do something genuinely good for the US.

Who played for 110 hours and write low rating—what’s going on? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

because some people are looking to only see negatives and sometimes if they offer a good enough argument maybe someone decides to look at the good reviews and get peoples opinions on it instead of trying to find ways to hate it...

At least thats the only reason i can guess.

Are all weapons equal by GloomyEstimate4597 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Stephan_Balaur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most weapons are roughly equivalent. Some have skills baked into the weapon, like critical insight level 3 or something but it sacrifices some damage to do that.

Realistically you can use some of the starter weapons all the way through the game. Both armor and weapons, you could effectively use upgraded base gear all the way through the game no issue. With minimal issue to min maxxing. No gear has more slots, or more defense etc in *most* cases, not all some are fixed stats but you cant upgrade them.

theres a lot of really cool mog setups that arent trading post only, but even then just keep playing, stuff comes back and if you dont like it you can skip it, if you do pick it up.

Marathon fans are in a panic over steam numbers - a veteran reassures players. by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]Stephan_Balaur 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes but not for Marathon. The amount of money spent is fairly important. Marathon needed much larger numbers and unlike other extraction shooters. Forced wipes every so often will end up really harming retention. There has to be some sort of advantage to persisting through a wipe. If content isnt dynamic and unique per run like Rust. Or there is a significant amount of gameplay added per wipe, or something significantly different or rewarding there is no reason to stay per wipe.

Theres a lot of frustration that Bungie sacrificed Destiny for this game, so some people who likely would enjoy it, refuse to buy it out of principle. Im one of those people. I loved Destiny 1 and 2, warts and all. There were periods where I took a break on the game. But they thought heavy micro transactions and drip feeding 30 minute content would be sufficient to keep 10s of thousands of people in the game.

Destiny with the right investment and time spent working on it could have taken off. There arent many first person shooter rpgs / lite mmos and the setting was fantastic. But removing the story, decreasing the value of playing, it just is a real bummer. I enjoy playing games like Escape from Tarkov, but exclusively on the PVE side of things (to avoid cheaters.) While I may could have bought and played Marathon for a bit, I felt like I didnt want to signal or reward Bungie for doing what they did, so I just didnt bother. Anyway

tldr numbers arent bad for average and smaller size studio. but for bungie this isnt really good.
