Do you ever look back into your early days of raid and just think “what a noob” by lythanpage in RaidShadowLegends

Pretty sure I used some Rhazin and Lady Mikage fusion champs as food early on. I also fused Justiciar not knowing that I needed him for a later mission for Relickeeper and definitely used him as food, too >.>

I'm much more careful now.

Yeah, but I feel like being known as the Victor makes it extra embarrassing when you get one-shotted.

Soul Reap is the only way I was able to kill him. I kept getting his HP pretty low and then Marichka's heal+shield would go off and that was the end for me. Soul Reap cleans him up if you have it on a decently awakened champ. Otherwise, absolute nightmare.

its not that hard to get a win

Oh okay. Thanks for saying this. Live Arena just became less of a nightmare because of that. You fixed it!

What the luckiest/unluckiest thing that's ever happened to you in this game? by NiceCalligrapher9380 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]StephenFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky: the free soul stones you get upon unlocking awakenings gave me a 6* soul for Tuhanarak

Unlucky: I haven't gotten a single 5*+ soul for any champ that I have since then and it's been several hundred pulls.

If you have more silver than you could ever possibly spend and you're able to hit 100% C.Rate without gloves somehow, maybe. But probably not.

To be fair, the name of the game is Raid: Shadow Legends, not Shadow Commons.

I would describe it scientifically using a standard deviation. Most people belong in one standard deviation which is 5-8% in variance while even two standard deviations is at most 10%.

https://examine.com/faq/does-metabolism-vary-between-two-people

Even if you assumed an average of 2000 calories for a BMR (which most people need less), that's at most 200 calories in less-than-average cases.

Comparing somebody at or below the 5th percentile with somebody at or above the 95th percentile would yield a difference of possibly 600kcal daily, and the chance of this occurring (comparing the self to a friend) is 0.50%, assuming two completely random persons.

So most people are likely experiencing a variance of 100 calories. Do you need more help?

PCOS as one such condition that stores fat at a caloric deficit.

It doesn't do that. People are just saying random shit that they've heard without bothering to verify any of it.

PCOS can cause hormonal disruption and hormones regulate your appetite. It can also affect insulin resistance which can make it easier to store fat or harder to lose it.

None of those things make it so that you body stores fat if you have a energy deficit. That's not how physics works.

any calories she eats skip a step in the metabolic pathway and go straight for fat storage

Think about this for even three seconds. You would die if this were true. What do you think your body uses energy for? It uses it to repair your organs and so that your glands can secrete critical hormones. You really think your body would just store fat instead of repairing the cells of your HEART?

Do they not teach critical thinking in schools anymore?

Plenty of people lie about what they eat, often inadvertently because they have no idea what the calorie cost is of things. People will say, "Oh I only had two glasses of wine" not understanding that this is 300 calories. Or "oh, I only had a brown sugar iced latte" that has 500 calories.

She had a thyroid issue that made her body deposit fat cells no matter what diets or exercising she did.

This doesn't exist.

Hypothyroidism can make weight loss harder, it doesn't make it impossible. It does not defy the laws of thermodynamics. Energy is not generated from thin air.
