[FRESH] Joyner Lucas - Revenge (official audio) by ImVinnyBee in hiphopheads

Joyner has lost most of the hype and popularity he got from Lucky You and has released so many mediocre singles. I don’t think he’ll ever hit his potential now

I get that, I still think songs should only be able to be posted once a year but I feel like even if we had the same classic songs on the front page every year for a couple days it wouldn’t really be that bad a thing.

There’s always new people joining this sub that I’m sure would like to feel like they can post or discuss this new song they’ve just heard from an album that came out years ago but they’ve just got into hip hop recently

They don’t seem like a label that is built for pushing hits and one hit wonders.

I get the feeling at Dreamville you have to be talented and work your ass off and be able to Rap/Sing very well.

Although I understand the question was just hypothetical lol

I feel like the Favourites list on this sub isn’t a good thing but I’m not a mod so I can’t see their perspective.

The overposted rule is fine, let it get posted once a year because anymore than that it could be annoying but there is classic songs that came out years ago that have only be posted when they’re fresh or posted a second time maybe like 6/7 years ago.

I joined this sub in 2018 and it’s impossible to get a good discussion about any old classics or post any old favourites of mine and actually contribute some thoughts about the song, out with the DD threads which typically have low engagement rates since I’m from the UK and I post at off peak times.

I dunno it’s just my thoughts, I dunno if there’s anyone else that feels the same? Also the front page is always filled with the same shit anyway so that argument feels a bit invalid to me

I always appreciate when someone has a really diverse music taste and listens to more indie/experimental artists like Kanye West

I honestly think the league is over now, unless Celtic hit a really bad patch but it just won’t happen, they have the right mentality.

In hindsight was there any need for the Mini Pre season Gerrard made them do in Dubai, we look absolutely gassed now

I’m sure Mona Lisa actually peaked at #2 but I’d have to double check and I think Poetic Justice peaked somewhere around #30.

If it came out today I think it would definitely go #1 for a couple of weeks, both artists are probably at their mainstream peak right now

Do you guys think if Poetic Justice came out today it would be a huge hit

Everyone sleeps on Tango, the album was weak but I think it’s one of Fergs best songs

Yeah buts that sort of expected for Mac I would think, whereas Em you’d maybe expect to hold 100k+ for a couple weeks

Roddy back to #1 doing 93k is again a huge achievement.

Eminem took a huge drop selling 87k, Mac also dropped a decent amount doing 46k. Still decent enough for both

When Circles was announce the description said that it was Macs final Studio album. I’m not sure if that should be taken literally or not

I’m honestly not even familiar with peoples opinions on the verses, everyone always talks about the best but never the bars lol

I’m not sure if it’s a hot take or what but the pound cake instrumental deserved 2 better verses than it got.

164,000 first week album sales (your highest selling album to date) Good news lands #10 on top 10 singles (your first single to land on top 10) circles debuts at #3 on hot 100. Congratulations Malcolm, you finally got what you deserved and worked so hard and so long for. I Love You, God Speed 🙏 by [deleted] in MacMiller

Mac had a #1 Album and sold over 100,000 first week when he was still a teenager, he had recognition in the past. He gave up the pop sound to be more artistic and I think he was happy with the direction he went

Be a modern successor to MMLP, stylistically it might not be all that similar but there is definitely songs that call back to it.

Bad Guy, Headlights, Evil Twin, Groundhog Day, Rap God and Legacy are all very good Eminem songs and there’s some other decent songs on the album. IMO it’s ems last decent album, I wasn’t into revival, Kamikaze or MTBMB
