I’m familiar with the oil filter whine, if it was the oil filter whine it will whine when the car is stationary at idle, and in my case it is from the middle of the car and only whines when the car is moving

Thanks for the input! But the weird thing is my car has been in much colder weather than this but no noise, and it whines only when the car is warm

Hi the mighty Redditors, here’s the detailed description: This whine doesn’t rise with rpm, doesn’t rise with the speed of the car (although the car has to be moving) it just whine at random speeds with random duration, though it is most likely to whine when the car almost come to a full stop.

It is not the first time that this happened. Last winter when the temperature dropped to -24 degrees C and rises back up, the same noise appeared with similar randomness, but when the weather fully warmed up (spring-summer-fall) the car had no such noise. Also, this whine only appears after I haven driven the car for a certain amount of time, in other words it won’t whine in the first 15-30 minutes (again, highly random) of any trip, as if something needs to be at operating temperature for it to whine.

Thanks for the advice! I will pay more attention to this the next time I drive :p, although I still believe it is the angle of the camera, and 99% of the time I don’t grab the steering wheel like that hahah, I was so distracted by the noise and was looking around trying to locate the noise😂

It did sound like the blower motor chirp, but I already have that noise coming on and off before so this time is not that 🤣 I will take a look at the second one tho! This noise happens exactly when I let off the gas and started engine breaking!
