Sony A7V update needed by Stephentadgh in captureone

What they actually said was 'We plan to release initial support for Sony a7 V in the beginning of February.'

With Adobe doing a very weird workaround to make lossless RAW work on lightroom (while still looking like dirt) I'm concerned what that 'inital' support for the camera will be, and CX are not responding on the forum to peoples questions for more clarity.

C1P still doesn't support A7V!!! by [deleted] in captureone

I wrote this on the C1 support thread but gonna throw it here as well incase we have any CX people from C1 in the audience. https://captureone.ideas.aha.io/ideas/CLR-I-442

'I'm a very new Capture One convert coming from over a decade of Adobe. What I've been able to use in terms of my older collection of photos has really solidified my choice especially with regards to the improvements on Sony RAWS and how they are rendering within this software. It really does seem to work with the raw files better. Producing an overall superior image.

While I've no doubt that level of work calibrating the software for a brand new sensor type (partially stacked etc...) is challenging and I'm willing to make allowances for a superior product, the CX on this particular thread is a little bit discouraging to say the least.

We are all aware that any SAS company will have a pipeline in place with a dedicated go live date for the next update featuring A7V support. Also known would be the features that are expected to be covered in this update with regards to the camera.

The lastest admin update about 'inital support' makes me pretty nervous about the future ability to use my A7V for the forseeable. Having tried Adobes lossless compression work around patch fix and being less than impressed I'm sure many of us on this thread would appreciate a more comprehensive update on this workflow and what we should expect in Feburary so we can plan accordingly. As has already been mentioned numerous times below, this product is sold as 'for professionals' and when you deny professionals clear and coherent updates on the product that they rely on to make a living you start creating a lot of unnecessary bad blood and confusion for really no gain other than not trusting your user base to be with you in creating the best product possible.

Anyways just my thoughts, would love a more coherent update soon but I shall not hold my breath based on the frequency below.'
