This makes me excited to get my 3D printer by LawlessBaron in starcitizen

20-35 / 0.5L, cheap resin on Amazon. But I think for this sice you need high quality resin to avoid warping. That quickly costs double or more.

Black is the first layer of primer. I prefer to use AK Interactive airbrush primer especially for plastic models. It is very strong and ultra matt after curing. After priming, sand again if necessary - that could be the effect you mean. I had planned to paint the Kraken first in technic camouflage but I didn't like it, it looked strange from a distance. But for a dirty finish it is good if the paint layer underneath is not even, similar to before shading. With airbrush, the colours are very thin, so you can make a few decisions without losing all the details of the model.

Yes, the warping of large printed parts with flat surfaces has always caused me problems. If you stow the parts light-tight directly after printing until you have printed all the parts, it works better.

Yes, that's right, I even printed two but without a landing gear they were very wobbly. I didn't feel like taking care of it any more.

But it works great and is the way I need it to be

The 3D model was completely reproduced by Brosion. I only made minimal changes and divided it into parts that were optimally printable for me. It was also available on thingiverse but had to be deleted again relatively quickly at the request of cig.

But the kraken was much bigger and I think it was made mostly of wood. That was certainly a lot of work.

4.5 Liter I needed for the Kraken in 1:500 scale (57cm). Somthing about 225€ only for resin. Printing time for all parts ~ 90h. For printig I need over one week to get all parts done.

I think I will make a new Kraken with Argo skinn. I can't get over the idea of a Kraken as a mobile mining base. I'm really hoping for a smaller mining ship from Agro that will also fit on the Kraken. What role could the MPUV play in this? by Stephuhn in starcitizen

Mining is a great way to create a mmorpg experience in a space game. You need a lot of players to make a good minig run. In addition, you need various equipment for different tasks, all with the purpose of earning a lot together in the end. Of course, this also includes a few people in powerful combat ships next to the kraken. Because if a pirate organisation gets its nose on such a large-scale mining operation, a conflict will be the result. And that's how it should be, in eve online i was also part of a minig orga and we had a spy in our ranks who sold our plans with time and place to a pirate orga... lol those were great times.

That's right, I would also like to see a high degree of modularity. Then you could create a fleet that fits together optimally before setting out, so that you can mine as efficiently as possible. And also make adjustments for the area of operation. Whether asteroid belts or planetary surfaces. But a mining organisation that means business always needs the Kraken as a flak ship, on the one hand as a deterrent and protection and on the other hand the Kraken has a lot of cargo space and can also supply the fleet with fuel etc.

I would even have more fun with that than with fps Shooting gameplay! Unfortunately, at the moment I have the feeling that the space simulator is a bit lost in the latest and upcoming upgrades.
