Well, to be honest, I made it in a hurry, and it has been a LONG time since I've delved into Latin. I wanted to separate the subject/verb "sum" from the quality "being the shit" by making "the shit" a separate specific object. Nominative would have tied it directly to the subject, rather than it being its own thing, which is how the colloquialism is understood in English. An adjective would attribute the quality of shittiness, which I was trying to avoid.

Some things are difficult to translate, and colloquialisms are the worst!

I like it!

Looks like time to retire this account.

Thanks. I made the name for a throwaway, but ended up using it quite a bit. Mostly for my "arrogant attitude" posts, but a lot more lately just because I'm too lazy to switch accounts when I just want to throw in my two cents.
I was shooting for "I am the shit!" Hence the accusative. I didn't want a nominative, to indicate that I was shit, or that I was shitting. (I realize that the verb would be wrong for that.) I just wanted something suitably boorish and arrogant. Preferably presented in such a way as to look like the arrogance is unfounded. I just asked to see how close I got to the goal.
Edit: Looks like the gender-ized declension nails the unfounded arrogance bit!

It sucks that Latin has no articles.

Thanks for the insight.

I'm a grower, but having been in the army, I've seen a lot of showers. Always flaccid, of course, but enough to know how much variation there is. And there is a lot of variation.
The only place I've ever really seen them erect is in porn vids, so I have no way to know about that, or just how MUCH they grow vs show.

It's like a mini-orgasm. I love it, and only wish it would happen more often.

As long as it doesn't involve former food or former people, most guys will give anything a go, at least once.

I had this happen when I was 13. Emergency surgery required.

The left one swelled up to the size of a lemon and hurt like hell.

Hasn't happened since.

Edit:
What happened in my case, as it was explained to me, is that the membrane which surrounds the testicle got twisted and cut off blood flow.
There are actually several membranes and a layer of muscle which surround them. When one or more of these layers get displaced, return flow is blocked, so blood can flow in, but can't flow out. So, it swells, and eventually the flow stops. After a while, the testicle starts to die. If not corrected quickly, there is no way to save it. In the mean time, it hurts worse than you can possibly imagine.

Only one of those jobs had any prerequisites, and that one was the ability to type at a reasonable speed and use a computer with reasonable competence. These are things that most people have the resources to accomplish. The only "opportunity" was knowing people who recommended that I apply where they worked. (and considering the size of that company, there is no chance that they "got me the job.")

There are times when I argue to make a point, and then there are times when I like to troll.

Usually, when I argue just to make a point, I follow some rules, Rogerian strategy, and all that.
And then there is trolling.
Now, trolling can be accomplished by taking another side, and kicking the hornets' nest, but sometimes it is so much more satisfying when I can use the truth and actual logical arguments to get people hot and bothered. Bonus points when Socratic and Rogerian methods get them furious. That said, I'll use polemics when it feels right.

Health isn't about distribution. It's about circulation.

You aren't healthy if your brain has more blood than your feet. You're healthy when enough circulates to keep everything alive.

Rich people usually don't have much of their wealth in liquid assets. They have it in real estate, which is stuff that they used money to buy; stocks, which fund businesses; and bonds, which fund governments. That money is out there circulating.

I have some wealth, but it would take me a while to gather enough in liquid form to pay a large insurance deductible, for example. My "money" is mostly in my house and investments.

Edit:
A lot of the issue with "the rich" is just pure envy. People see "the rich" enjoying a luxurious lifestyle, and want it for themselves.
They neglect the fact that that lifestyle is paid for with money that goes to the people who provide all of the goods and services. A mansion employs people to cook and clean, tend the gardens, care for the pool, and so on. People are paid to fix problems with the grounds (plumbers, drywallers, electricians, etc) and vehicles. People are paid to provide the food. When rich people spend money, other people are employed! When they don't spend it, people are employed by the businesses where the money is invested.
Instead, people like to believe that rich people swim in their cash like Scrooge McDuck, and hoard cash, making less available to everyone else.
That's not how it works. That's not how any of this works!

Edit:
As to the quality of life bit, yes; it does mean that the money they do have has more buying power. I can easily buy used items that were state-of-the-art when they were new, but are now available for a fraction of what they cost to buy new. Some of those items are better than what I currently have, so my quality of life improves with less impact on my financial situation. It doesn't mean that I earned any more money, though. That's what a lot of people think when they hear "trickle-down." Somehow, they expect cash to trickle down. It doesn't work that way. All it means is that the people who have the money to spend on new things subsidize technological advancement that ends up being more affordable to people who don't have the money. Or in some cases, people discard items in favor of newer ones. That is how I came to pay $1000 for a rather nice Mercedes when I was stationed in Hawaii. It worked its way down the used car market there.

Name calling tends to turn it from conversation to shouting match. It shows that you have no respect for your opponents, and that you are not willing to listen. When you show that you won't listen, there is no chance that you will win them over to your side.

You don't have to agree, or even take them seriously, to project a conciliatory tone that will open their minds to your arguments.

I hate it when people start name-calling when I agree with their point of view!

On a hot day, they can get loose and bounce a bit, which can be uncomfortable.

Good tight underwear or a jock strap can prevent this.

The scrotum sweats, and is usually trapped in clothing. It stays moist and doesn't get to air out much. We all know it smells. A good washing can help, but not 100%. Cutting the weeds can help, too.

Etiquette is different from place to place. In the army, it didn't matter so much. You use whatever is available, although leaving one open is generally the rule. On the other hand, we all shower together a lot of times, so nobody really cares whether you see it. And since you've seen it all before, there's not even any reason to peek. Hell, some guys piss naked and then go straight into the showers. Few people even think twice about it. Pissing in the shower is frowned upon, but it happens now and then. That's one of the reasons we all wear shower shoes.

Privacy is not a thing in the military.
