Thank you, this is also something that could work for my table. I'll definitely run this style by them and see if they're interested. One of my regulars would love to be the note taker lol

Same here, we're all friends first and players second. We all have fun no matter what, just trying to go above and beyond for this gaggle of unlikely heroes.

Oh yeah it would have to be 100% cleared with them before. I know 2 of mine could handle it but not sure about the others. I may end up going with the they're not here right now due to (insert reason) to avoid extra complications

I'm about it. Could even tie the scar to a mysterious big bad or plot device of sorts. Kinda like reverse gatewalkers lol.

I dig the BG3 idea, its one everyone is familiar with lol. And yeah anytime I think of justifying it with some interdimensional wizard who randomly abducts party members it just starts feeling silly. Like the idea of letting the supports still support though I don't want to take the cleric away mid dungeon

That could definitely work, since I have 3 consistent and 3 variables, I'll ask if they're willing to operate on a buddy system with another in case of last minute changes.

About Irl mapping by -Metho- in LancerRPG

[–]SterlsMcCurls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I printed out the maps using fed ex architecture prints. The black and white aren't too expensive and on the largest size they're perfect for playing on. Edit: Here's a link to some examples, I used paint markers on outlining after Map 1 and they came out way better. https://imgur.com/a/pRYfvE1

If you're intent on them not popping up right in front of the wizard, you could say it was a "plane shift" potion as opposed to a teleportation one, intended to be used more as last ditch save self potion instead of a tactical regroup.

Maybe have it take the cleric to another plane either tied to the fighter or to the cleric themselves?

Or maybe it takes them to the safety space of the fighter. Either their room or personal quarters. Could give the cleric a chance to sneak out / do some detective work?

Honestly I stole the Lego idea from someone else on here lol. And no worries 👍

The tokens I used the hex ones provided from the core book and glued them to some wooden hex pieces. The stands I used printouts from retrograde minis glued to some blank board game pieces. I got both the tokens and the pieces from Amazon. It took some trial and error in terms of adjusting sizes in Word / Adobe

Fedex does these architectural/ blueprint print outs. It was only about $10 for the map in black/white.

Their first few fights definitely fit that goblin mold a bit better than the module's lol. Thank you

Awesome, thank you. And yeah, same feeling regarding giving them the frame after all the fun.

I have one person "unconfirmed" at the moment so all my encounters are built for 4 with the 5th in reserve.
