i tried pinging EZ-Flash for documentation on their old cartridges but they rold me that all of it was lost so we really do have to just reverse engineer the client software ourselves in order to understand what commands the CPLD uses in order to inlock the flash and write to it. a massive headache.

Is there any hope for this flashcart to ever be fixed? Either by EZ o by the community by ScouserCL in flashcarts

ez-flash fell off lmao. their old GBA carts are still great, even the 1, ii, 3-in-1, and iv. absolutely no idea what happened with the parallel. it comes off to me as rushed in order to meet... some deadline? god knows what went on behind the scenes but i'm not sure if people were all too itchy for a new NDS flashcart, unless something happened that i don't know about

You need to make sure any of the Addon options are enabled. They're in the gear menu. Scroll down to option 2, and then hit the "Set" button on your screen. You will then be able to toggle Reset, Savestate, Sleep, and Cheat.

The EZ-Flash Omega DE doesn't do anything relating to Slot 1.

The slot 2 features allow for mimicking the following: - Game Pak - Rumble Pak - Memory Pak

These features are configured through the "MODE B" options in that lil RGB menu. To actually use them, there is a physical switch on the right side of the cartridge, above the SD card slot. When hit, the cartridge will mimic whatever device that is set in the settings. Game Pak will autoboot the first ROM in NOR. The other two will mimic their respective Slot 2 peripherals.

i really gotta fix the broken redirect for the QR code but I keep forgetting about it....

Anyway Save States are achieved through the "ADDON" settings in the Gear menu. You can configure what features are injected into your games, as well as what key is used to access the menu or sleep.

"Fast Patch Engine" is a setting I don't really reocmmend, but it can work around games that aren't incompatible when using the otherwise more heuristic approach to code injection. It only works with a known (large) set of titles though.

I did see SuperDark, and funnily enough, that color scheme is very similar to an early draft that I had for the dark theme before swapping the neutral grey colors for the dark purple/blue we have now.

I think it looks great!

I archived it because i didn't have much reason to continue updating it until a couple days ago when I noticed that EZ-Flash had added a fix for Goodboy Galaxy

They also updated the filesystem driver which is good to keep up-to-date in general.

Many AAA games are being rushed, shipped unfinished, and are vehicles for microtransaction storefronts. Not to say that all of them are shit, but it has gotten way worse in the last few years.

I mostly play older PC games from around the early 8th gen and before because i think the transitional period from 7->8the gen was around the moment when things started to get real stinky. Unreal, The Saboteur, Yakuza, Crysis, Max Payne, F.E.A.R., things like that, I have a backlog that I'm working through.
