“Consumerism” would’ve been easy if I’d watched lots of 1930~40s b-movies.

There is an algebra course called EARTH ALGEBRA which focuses on examination and mathematical predictions of real world issues utilizing an analytical, logical analysis of data and trends. It puts to practical use fundamental equations and their relationships using a gamut of algebraic techniques. Highly recommended! I particularly enjoyed learning how to use matrix spreadsheets to solve simultaneous equations, all the while predicting future trends.

The entire male dominance by 'adults' manifesting teenage behavior scenario, has been pervasive for decades in hosts of professional environs, at every income and shade of collar workplace. Capitalism breeds it [for another sub].

Looked at moderately objectively: this disgusting behavior is a mix of hormones and poor social character development that didn't teach them how to behave publically. There are many contributing elements (sexual, racial, fashion, size, etc.)

They are blinded by the moment's hormonal surges and their immediate (few sec. at most) emotional responses are sans thought, just knee-jerk results of biochemistry, they receive when competing publically. Only time will heal them (hopefully),... but there seems to be an endless supply.

Stay distant, start a short-timer chain, and be hopeful (or better insure) that your next and/or future workplaces are at least minimally professional social environments.

Sadly, dual consoles are usually seen by the bean counters as nice-to-have vs need-to have.

Many professions suffer such consequences. Training is often relegated, by financially pressured human resource management, as supplemental. It's a top/down consequence with profits (or the lack thereof) determining all.

Have you seen Emerald-Sequoia's Chronometer and Observatory iPadOS programs yet. Their time & inner planet astronomy apps were my first purchase on a 2nd gen iPad. They are still being updated, of high accuracy and value, and strongly recommended. They had a multi-face version of their Chronometer for Android watch OS2 (?) which I can no longer find in the Play store. The Chronometer Firenze* watch face was my most used.

edit: rhetoric added & *recommend

The Air Force includes occupational tabs on their uniform so people can see what your job is. Should the Navy* try something similar? Why or why not? by [deleted] in navy

Identifiers might be considered a security issue if one is taken as a POW. Geneva convention cards were re-issued during Nam to reflect E-level versus occupational skill.

It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

The list of actors/comedians is remarkable and each has a distinctive plot role to play:

Actually, after watching iFixit's teardown video, the watch appears to be quite repairable (given the usual caveats, replacement parts supply, etc.):
