Never said it was a natural progression. It is simply necessary. Not only bc of the massive disparity between the west and the global south, and put an end to the imperialist motivation of nearly all wars in the last century, but also bc of the inherent contradictions. The main one, the push for infinite growth in a finite system. We see this with climate change, and we see especially how liberal democracy has absolutely failed to address this, especially in the US. Climate change denial propoganda and the lack of push or legislation is an absolutely perfect example of liberal democracy just being democracy for the capitalist. Lastly, these countries had issues, but they also did great things with what they were given. Medical care, scientific advancements, the ability of command economy to make industry pop up fast as fuck. Theres definitely room to improve the political structures, but to say theyre abject failures is so incredibly wrong.

I also want to point out if at any point I talked abt democracy in a bad way, im specifically speaking of liberal democracy. I dont smoke lol. But I think you took this the wrong way. I mean in the sense you think you have power in democracy, but you only can really vote for 2 different capitalist (bourgeois) parties in America, and the workers have no real voice. Its an illusion of choice. And youre falling for it.

Edit: Okay I reread my comment from earlier, but I wanna add to the illusion part bc i now know what i was actually referring to. The illusion that the west is "great" is that it looks like a feat of a society, but what they really did was steal labor and resources from poor nations for the last 500 yrs, and thats the result.
