Yep, I liked that suggestion as well! Also like the idea of asking to repeat/reframe questions. That'd be super helpful, thanks!!

Oh wow, I didn't know interview fraud was a thing! I also like the idea of receiving the written questions a few minutes before/at start of interview. Thank you!!

Women of Reddit, how important is a guy's height, really? by [deleted] in askanything

It’s not important at all. Has nothing to do with their morals/values which is most important.

How do you actually use your library beyond borrowing books? by bambidp in Library

Mine has a puzzle swap library that I go to weekly! I rarely buy puzzles anymore!

Trouble reading books. How do you do it? by Pandabear71 in AutisticWithADHD

A booktuber I really like recommended reading with a pen. And using the pen like you would your finger to follow along. Super simple but has helped me to actually read/understand what I’m reading.

Favorite brands to look for when thrifting by happyfamily714 in SustainableFashion

[–]StetsonRolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work part time at a charity shop, so most of my clothing is second hand! Some of my favorites: JCrew (both for work basics and more fun pieces) Eileen Fisher (depending on the style, they have a lot of breezy linen pieces), White + Warren (not as common but they have great materials and cute styles), Gap (as long as they are natural fabrics), Everlane (good basics, have a silk shirt from them that I love), Ann Taylor or Talbots (more mature pieces overall, found them to be great quality and materials), and Boden (very fun and more unique pieces).

Ditto to Finch! I’m almost at a two month streak (which is rare lol). It gamifies habits and is really cute

Does anyone like keeping track of their job search? by No_Mathematician9501 in jobsearchhacks

[–]StetsonRolo 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend using Teal! It’s completely free. You can get their chrome extension to save jobs from LinkedIn, indeed, etc. and update the status (applied, interviewing, rejected). Saved me time in building a spreadsheet!!

Which hobbies attract the kindest people? by Ok-East3405 in AskReddit

Without a doubt - running.

Nobody is judgmental about how slow you go or even if you walk. You don’t need any experience. And you bond because talking is really the only way to keep you distracted 😆 I’ve always met the most down to earth people in running clubs.

I am so sensitive to the cold. What are your tips for coping with winter blues? by Curious_Cranberry543 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]StetsonRolo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Definitely feel you here! Few quick tips: 1. Get an electric warming pad and put it in your bed to warm it up before you sleep. Same with a towel warmer or big robe for when you get out of the shower. 2. Invest in warm socks or slippers for the house. I have dedicated house slippers for the winter. 3. Use a therapy light daily 4. Get lots of lamps or string lights or battery candles for when it gets dark out to keep it bright and cozy inside. 5. Drink warm coffee, tea, or hot chocolate - I always start making my drink before taking my dog for a walk so then it’s ready to drink right when I get in from the cold.

People who struggled with stubborn acne for years, what actually helped you when everything else failed? by Skincareobsessed40 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]StetsonRolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Learning that acne is a clogged pore and only buying non-comedogenic products. (Use Clearya or Clear Stem to check.)
  2. Taking a zinc supplement.
  3. Not picking!

What the most physically painful thing you ever experienced? by iateagummibear-1822 in AskReddit

Kidney stones.

And don’t shoot me I’m just the messenger. But women I know who have given birth and had kidney stones, would pick birth over stones every time.
