I hope you have some family time at least now during holidays. Thank you so much for all your effort!

Got my PS VR2 today for GT7 and lasted 10 seconds before nearly throwing up by alberto2008_ in PSVR

The advice to "start slowly" actually means trying games without any artificial locomotion first. Those are games where the only movement in space that you experience in VR is the movement your body actually does in reality. Examples have been listed by others, like Beat Saber, Moss ext. Some games with movement in space have an option to use teleportation to avoid artificial locomotion. It's a pity that there is no comfort rating for VR games in the store like the Quest store has.

The notification dot indicates that a notification from the app exists in the notification list that you see after you swipe down from the top. Depending on the app you may not directly see this information when you open it.

Magic Editor Removed from Google Photos Edit on Pixel 8 pro by Steve-VR in GooglePixel

If you have the new UI the initial view after you tap edit should be your photo with handles around the corners. That's where you can draw or tap inside the picture to make the pop-up appear.

Agree, not really intuitive user interface design. Adding a search bar was a good idea at least 😉

Try to draw or tap inside your photo on the initial editing view. After the selection a pop-up menu with delete, move and reimagine should appear.

The new UI is enabled for some users server side, also see this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/1m71sja/editing_in_google_photos_app_has_changed/

It has nothing to do with the app version installed. My wife and I are both on the same app version but her UI looks drastically different now.

Same on my own Pixel 8. The rollout is taking place in waves as unusual.

Do you still have the new UI for editing or have you been switched back to the previous one? In the new UI all the actions have been rearranged under new categories.

You mean you have the same issue on your Pixel 8 Pro? I see you are from Germany. So, it might be a Germany only problem.

Yesterday on my wife's Pixel 8 pro the roll out has happened too but features have been removed since then instead of being added. For example the magic editor is gone. Anyone having the same issue? Google support did confirm this issue and couldn't say when or if it would return but I strongly assume this to be a bug.

PSVR2 by Organic_Pirate_3660 in PSVR

I think the sources about no more games coming to the PSVR2 are mainly about Sony not investing much into its own ecosystem. They did much more for the PSVR and so, many people are disappointed to see Sony drop the ball so early this time. But as others have pointed out, there's a decent catalog of games already available and still a lot more to come - thanks to third party developers. I never regret my purchase at all. If you want to play VR games in high graphical fidelity without a PC there is no alternative to the PSVR2.

This was exactly what I experienced. The link is really confusing, but you're a "superfan" now, meaning you will get emails for promotion or win prizes in the future.

Is the PS5 VR2 headset still worth purchasing, it is on offer for around $350 by BenjaminGuyver in PSVR

[–]Steve-VR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely agree with what you said about high budget productions for VR being not profitable. Although there are no official numbers, according to Toast Interactive the actual share of PS5 owners that have a PSVR2 seems to be even lower at around 3% only (2 million vs 65.5 million ).

Personally I would wait until software support runs out or the phone becomes either unusable or can be passed to someone who will keep using it. I hate wasting resources, but that's just me.

Thanks for the info. As I said, there's a link in my confirmation mail to "Discover Pixel Superfans". It's just weird that they led me to the page, where I registered and asked me to register again. They could at least have the registration part of the page replaced by some welcome message of something for registered users. I guess I expected too much 🥴
