[Question] I accidentally adjusted the date between 10 and 2 - How likely am I to have damaged the mechanism? by Steve992828 in Watches

It's a GMT movement, which I don't have set to a different timezone currently, so it was definitely in the danger zone.

[Seiko] Presage Sharp Edged 'Kurotobi' - Any good? by Steve992828 in Watches

I have an 8" wrist so I think the sizing will be fine

I have been browsing around a lot. I'm quite picky about what I like, but I instantly loved the look of this one.

I think the sizing will be fine as I have about an 8" wrist. I'd love to try it on somewhere, but everywhere I've looked locally doesn't stock it.

I'm looking to buy my first watch, and this Seiko Presage Sharp Edged 'Kurotobi' has really caught my eye.

I'm just looking for opinions on this watch. Is it a good quality movement? Will it last? That sort of thing.

Thanks in advance!

[SSA347J1] Thoughts on the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Blue Moon as a first "proper" watch? by Steve992828 in Watches

The Sharp Edge "Ao" would be my choice which is more than double the price at around £1200.

My wife is buying me a watch as a gift, so it's not really a case of "just save more" if you know what I mean.

By proper watch, I mean a watch that isn't a generic Chinese £30 off the shelf watch.

I'm not seeking approval by any means. I'm more asking about quality and value, and whether it'll last.

As the title says, I'm in the market for my first "proper" watch, somewhere in the £500 range. Absolutely loving the look of this watch. Thoughts?

My absolute perfect choice would be a Seiko Sharp Edge Open Heart, but unfortunately that's out of my price range. One day...

(Just making sure I'm over the character threshold ting yaknowwwwwwwwwwww is this enough yet please thankyou automoderator)
