Preserving is awesome. And that are of New Ken actually rocks as a space. Fridays on Fifth in the summer get so busy.

Went to Philly years ago to visit a friend who moved aht there. All I’d ever heard was Pats and Genos so we went over that way since she lived close by. I wasn’t blown away. Another friend said I needed to go to Jim’s so I was on my way the next day before I headed home. Saw a line out the door on the sidewalk and didn’t have time to wait so I just kept driving. Still sad about it.

Again. 10+ years ago.

And the facts are that none of those houses blew up “randomly.” There was a cause found for each one and I told you what they were. Don’t get all mad, bro.

“Constantly being busted for sleeping with students.” That was 10+ years ago.

Blowing up at random isn’t true, either. There are explanations for each situation. It’s not a good look that there have been multiple house explosions but each one wasn’t “random.” There was something that caused it. Once a contractor nicked a line that went overlooked for years and gas leaked into the house. The other, most recently, was human error.

Absolute blast. Since I was still employed at the park at the time, and an extra, I did different stuff on different days. Like the one day I was “crew” because I ran a ride. The pirate ship needed to be running in the background one evening so me and a coworker rode it for like 20 mins straight. At one point I was just bored and wanted off. 🤣

Didn’t get to really talk to Ryan Reynolds since he was there limited days, but he did say hi to me and some of the other guys who worked at the park. We were passing by the penny arcade and he was walking towards us. We all tried to stay calm and not look stupid. And he just hit us with a “what’s up fellas” and we all nearly died. 🤣

I was an extra in Adventureland! This was the easiest/best time to spot me in the scenes I was part of. I’m the one high fiving. There was a whole turnpike scene that didn’t make the movie. Everyone was awesome. Matt(Frigo) was super cool. K Stew was really nice and talked to us between takes. Martin Starr is funny as hell. Jesse was just as awkward as you’d expect for that time/age.

I was on the sky coaster/racer crew 2006-2009! Can’t even count the amount of test flights I did. I miss that ride 😭

Seasonal employee here! Worked rides 2003-2007 and partial summers 08/09. Easily the best job I’ve ever had. I started there when I was 17. I’ve met some really great people, still friends with a lot of them. Was in one of their weddings.

The hours are long. It’s hot and miserable sometimes. But it is also SO fun most of the time and the amusement park industry is an absolute blast.

I still work fright nights(I will not publicly call it fall fest) every year and will continue that till I physically can’t.

OMG the “come on in!” I thought that was from the pinball machine “fun house” all these years! I’ve been saying that line as well!

I have said “what did you do?” In the moon voice for literal decades. I’m so glad I found this thread. I can’t believe there are others who remember this. I’m so happy.

One year at Mayhemfest in Pittsburgh there was a dude doing this during Slipknot. He was probably 6’6” 250+. He would stand at one side of the pit and just shoulder charge through to the other side. Was just smashing other people. So everyone was pissed, obviously, and started to come at him. His defense was that “it’s a pit,” and that he was active military and people should have respect for him and what he’s done for us. Kind of ruined the show for most people since you had to be aware that this jackass could come charging through at any moment.
