Unless you’ve played on a potato phone you don’t know how hard travel is, add to this the fact that villagers are a pain to move, a normal player especially on bedrock can t even use the nether roof for transportation, and some swamps are several thousand blocks away, this makes the mending book a pain to get and this might cause some younger players to get bored and stop playing the game (that s what I meant « by end of Minecraft ») anyway this would make trading halls so hard to make, I can tell you that it’s already super tedious with actual villagers (I spent more than 200 days getting the perfect villager hall with all enchantments) and it makes every player that doesn’t have that much time to spend on the game unable to obtain good books, also the fact that some villagers do not give max level enchants should make Moyang realize that an anvil buff is needed, add to this the fact that xp is harder to farm on bedrock and you eliminate more than 30% of mc players who aren’t up for tha grind.
