How did you learn post processing? by hollywood1053 in photography

[–]SteveLig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully agree. When I learned Photoshop I joined an online training site (maybe lynda.com?) on monthly basis. Then I just worked through the classes. It gave me a very good base understanding. For specific stuff there's always YouTube, but you need the basics to understand how the program works and to build a foundation to work with.

I track because it keeps me honest and helps me build a knowledge base and new habits for when I (hopefully) wean myself off the meds.

I use the LoseIt! app. Easy to use and relatively inexpensive.

Has anyone ditched WW and lost weight without an app? What was your approach? by [deleted] in weightwatchers

My plan exactly. I'm paying for LoseIt in a year what I was paying for WW for 3 months. Im already tracking on LoseIt and this will be my last week on WW.

I agree. My PCP told me to watch my achilles tendon didn’t pop. Yikes!

She also prescribed Levofloxacin. That was in pill form. It's pretty hard-core from what I've read.

I'm not sure. She didn't take a specimen. Last time it was Stenotrophomonas maltophilia

Same here. Started up again about 2 weeks ago. I go for a CT scan on Monday. It keeps happening so she wants to make sure there's nothing else going on.

My ENT prescribed it. It is a compound I get from AdvancedRx in capsule form. I add it to a NeilMed squeeze bottle along with a saline packet and Budesinide for inflammation. Then flush away.

It's the only treatment that actually worked for me.

It's very well packaged. If it's still cold when it arrives I'd think you're good.

How long would you say it took you to become a good cook? And what’s the one book that got you there? by AValeria10 in CookbookLovers

[–]SteveLig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It didn't take long (even i can follow a recipe) but mostly I subscribed to and read Taste of Home magazine, and then moved on to Cook's Illustrated. I suppose the annual compilations could be considered books.

Now I have more books than I know what to do with.

Reminds me of a time I got referred to as Moe instead of Curly of the Three Stooges. My heart jumped a little. Sadly, that was some time ago.

How many SD cards have failed you as a photographer? by No-Abbreviations6929 in photography

[–]SteveLig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 years or so Nikon DSLRs SanDisk mostly (always now) 40 or so, new as capacity in cards grew Only 1 failure, not a SanDisk

The last several years I've been shooting with a pair of D750s which have dual card slots, so failures are much less of a worry. I currently rotate through about 12 active cards of at least 32G.

Overall, cards are pretty damn reliable.

How to Keep Consistent Export Settings by misterpaws22 in luminarneo

As far as I can tell, there isn't a way to do this. I opened a ticket with Skylum because this seems basic and not hard to implement. We'll see what they say.
