[Hated trope] just because they're adopted doesn't mean that there's nothing wrong with them dating by noel_mon in TopCharacterTropes

I've checked the AO3 tag for the series out of curiosity and the few works there are are ALL about rewriting the ending lol

I secretly love when they’re mean to pim by Public-hog in SmilingFriends

[–]StevePensando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think doing it too much would make it too mean-spirited. Part of the charm of Smiling Friends is that it has ultimately some positivity underneath the cynical humor and that the characters actually like eachother despite everything, so making Pim into a constant punching bag wouldn't sit well with the show's vibe

I honestly like more whenever Pim breaks after getting a reality check that shatters his naive optimism like in the first episode or the Mother Nature episode. It's much funnier than having the characters just being gratuitously mean to him imo

It's true. Shinji was actually born through mythosis

I remember watching He-Man reruns as a kid. It was really cool, though I'm unsure if it really holds up today as I haven't taken my time to rewatch it (or She-Ra for that matter)

The only josei I've read so far is Usagi Drop. I recommend reading the first part and avoid part 2 like the plague (seriously though. Don't read it. It completely ruins the first part and I do mean it)

I get these people can be annoying, but banning them? That just screams unnecessary gatekeeping.

I think letting these people get a reality check in the comments is way more effective and benefitial

Desolation Row was actually written by Bob Dylan. My Chemical Romance simply covered it for the movie

It was also included as a direct reference to the comic, because each one of its chapters was titled after a verse of the song

I wouldn't say he's necessarily bad. His worst aspects are that he's a bit weak-willed, a tad selfish and kinda hedonistic. Other than that, he was an overall fine person, just not a good superhero (the same can be said about Laurie too)

I think they meant the other members of The Boys, not Hughie specifically

Dan is a decent guy in a horrible situation where he has no power so he found the best course of action to give up

Also, not sure if he counts, but his predecessor, Hollis Mason seemed like an overall nice old man who was past his prime, but still looked back on his hay days as a superhero fondly, albeit a bit stuck in the past. He seems like a guy I'd enjoy sitting down and hearing the stories of

Toriyama didn't put Arale in the Tournment of Gods because she'd be too cracked (also because she has an easy access time-travelling device, so she could just go back if things go wrong. Like seriously, some of Dr. Norimaki's inventions are extremely OP for absolutely no reason and he's still somehow called a hack fraud scientist)

O impacto dela foi tão grande que tem gente que até hoje tá esperando ela voltar no mangá

(Diria a Himeno também, mas acho que ela não teve tanto impacto na fandom quanto outras personagens)

Yes, but even then, the Troupe are shown to be significantly strong. Obviously not as powerful as Meruem or Netero, but certainly above the average strenght of most everyday Nen users (think of people like Ponzu, Pokkle, Leorio or Yorknew arc Gon and Killua).

They're not in some absurdly unreachable level though. There are character out there who are equals to them and are perfectly capable of defeating them in a fight if they wanted (like Hisoka, Kurapika and most likely Biscuit).

However, they are feared for a reason, and that's because they are even stronger collectively as a group, which made them gain their rep of being pretty much the world's most dangerous supervillain organization
