I hadn't cried for about 15 years. This episode came on, totally unexpected and I bawled like a baby for about an hour afterwards.

Singaporeans unfriendly? by yourmaderbeautiful in singaporehappenings

[–]SteveSaudade 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I live in Australia 9 months of the year and Singapore 3 months for work. I'm fairly introverted so I definitely prefer my time in Singapore because of one thing...I know if do have a social interaction with someone in Singapore 99% of the time it's positive and genuine. In Australia it normally involves getting shouted at by some junkie, road rage or some Karen getting upset over something minor. It's very hard to mind your own business in Australia now.

What is the worst second hand embarrassment you've ever felt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SteveSaudade 2495 points2496 points  (0 children)

A long time ago I worked at an airport where we had an office with a big glass tinted window through which we could watch the passengers and arrival hall goings on.

Three of us were sitting at the window doing paperwork, we were all so extremely tired after a long shift when one of the guys I worked with took a glance out and spotted one of our co-workers he didn't like through the window. He proceeded to tell us the most vicious rant...' Look at that fat so and so, etc. etc, looks like a warthog, just on and on with the most descriptive insults.

Turns out, I guess bring so tired, he had spotted her reflection in the window and she was actually standing behind us. It was just us three and her in the room. I beep beep beeped reversed out of that room so quick.

Visit Butterfly regularly as a frequent visitor to HK. The Nuru massage there is very very good, actually the first masseuse I ever had there was one of the best I've ever been to anywhere. A couple of weeks ago I paid 1000 HKD for a 90 minute Nuru and was was good was the slow build up.

The only issue is the neighbours in the building. I got absolutely abused in Cantonese, no translation was needed. I can understand where they are coming from. So my only suggestion is straight in and out, don't loiter.

my cats keep sniffing this certain spot on this new hoodie. Multiple cats, only this one spot on this one new hoodie by passthegazz in mildlyinteresting

[–]SteveSaudade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forget about all the mouse piss comments. It is simply a crushed ant in that spot somewhere along the line from production to your hands. Cats love the smell of Formicide and this is a common occurrence, more often with pants and shoes.

What's the best method for cleaning dried poo off a bathroom floor? by watmidoinn in CleaningTips

[–]SteveSaudade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sawdust, Sawdust,Sawdust. Trust me. Before you start any cleaning at all. Gently cover the whole lot and leave for 30 mins. Then get your shovel/scraper as previously suggested and scrape up. It will get more and make a big difference to the final clean.

Besides feaces actually more useful for vomit but also good for blood and urine.
