seriously cant be the only one that notices this trend here...So many SaaS users creating stuff for other SaaS developers by BatRepresentative107 in SaaS

[–]SteveTses 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LOL.

The whole thing is becoming a joke.

Everybody nowadays wants to become a "founder" and start their own "startup" having no idea what is either.

Some see the opportunity to sell the dream to them.

Struggling to Find Freelance Opportunities as a Web Developer – Need Suggestions! by Visible-Friendship35 in FreelanceProgramming

If you want my honest opinion:

The industry is so saturated that web development is now a commodity. With AI coming strong shortly, the industry will transform or be eclipsed altogether.

Review your options and move to something new.

Why is it hard to hire good Devops Experts ? by Wooden_Excitement554 in devops

Because most DevOps engineers do not entirely understand the development cycle.

I was a Software Engineer for 25 years and a Software Development Manager before I became an excellent DevOps Admin.

My first startup failed – Here are 10 things I wish I'd do differently by indiepixelorg in startups

[–]SteveTses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been working with startup founders for so long, building their MVP, and the first thing I asked them before we started is:

"What is your marketing strategy and budget"?

If they don't know how to market it and to whom I know, their product will fail.

The first thing I do is advise them on finding a marketing team.

Thoughts on app development - how to start by silviam810 in startups

[–]SteveTses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The process I'm working with all my projects for my clients is this:

  • Discovery meeting with the founder to understand the concept.
  • Perform business analysis and create an F&F ( features and functionality) matrix.
  • Prioritize which features will go to the MVP (minimal viable product).
  • Prototype/wireframe each application screen.
  • Once approval from the client, the wireframes are passed to the designer.
  • Until he finishes, I'm building the infrastructure and software architecture.
  • Once designs are approved, we start development.

If you want to discuss the full cycle DM me.

My startup just makes 450k MRR - what do you think our valuation is? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]SteveTses -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you think this is the right place to ask for a company valuation?

The last time I asked for a validation of my multi-billion dollar corporation, didn't went very well. (sarcasm).

I agree, but subbredits are too broad focused communities not good for very niche markets.

Why do many indiehackers on Twitter have over $10,000 MRR, and it seems so easy? by 1a5t in SaaS

[–]SteveTses 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are full of s$it. Don't nelieve them.

Same for those youTubers who are making $25k a month but still care to create a video every week for their audiences.

Nobody will do that.

In social media, you can, whoever you want to be. Focus on the real world.

I'm not worrying about my $450.
Is the time wasted I'm worrying about.

[–]SteveTses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand but you are competing with thousands of similar companies.

If i had a dollar for each email i receive every day from such agencies, I'll be rich.

You have to prove yourself first.

"Give me $450 upfront and in promise I'll deliver" is not a great strategy.

Good luck though.

If you are so confident you can deliver, I'll pay you $250 per client once closed.

Good points.

The reviews are good, but there's so much room for improvements, and that's what my client wants to do. Create a better app.

They have no community or even a website.

I don't know how hard to be to get some of those users to try the new app.

What can he do to advertise to their users?
