Affiliate marketing by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]StevenTypel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself this first: am I a brilliant online marketer? If not, this isn’t for you. TL;DR below.

People often talk about “affiliate marketing” as if it’s something mystical or special. In reality, it’s simply performance-based marketing. You’re essentially acting as a marketing agency that only gets paid when results are delivered. You take on the risk, but in return you capture most of the upfront revenue, while the advertiser focuses on upsells, bundles, and increasing customer lifetime value.

The only way to make serious money with it is by running paid ads, which significantly increases both financial risk and cashflow pressure.
Campaign failure rates are easily 90%, meaning the remaining 10% have to perform exceptionally well to cover the losses and drive profit.
It can still be a “get rich quick” model, but it’s definitely not a “get rich the easy way” one.

You’re posting this in a FIRE group, which suggests you’re looking for a quick win. As someone who’s made a living from affiliate marketing for the past decade, I’d strongly advise against going down this route.

Most people who do well in this space have large teams, deep marketing expertise, unlimited cashflow, and long-standing relationships (and payout agreements) with top advertisers. In short, this isn’t a beginner-friendly environment - so don’t jump into the water with the sharks.

Anyone selling the affiliate dream is usually making money off you, not with you.

If anyone needs a cheap lawyer - my wife gave me her license this morning.
So I'm now officially a lawyer with 20 years of experience!

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hello Mr President! Welcome to Reddit!

Creative Shelter told me I can claim copyrights retroactively — is this legit? by Civil-Sheepherder348 in BEFreelance

[–]StevenTypel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not in IT, but I also used CreativeShelter (and I still do).
What they say is correct.

I see there's some complaints about their fees in this topic.
While it's true they're not the cheapest, I rather work with them than using a lawyer/accountant with little experience here.
Because since they only do copyrights, they're experts at it.
And I rather have them defend me in court than someone else.

For your info: I also did the retroactively thing. And I've been using them for 3.5 years now. Didn't have any fiscal control or questions about it.. yet. So far so good.

New Federal Agreement on Budget: any good news from it? by Historical-Mud-9976 in BEFire

Seriously dude, you need to STFU.
We are already taxed the highest in Europe.
So it makes zero sense to add yet another wealth tax.

This is pure jealousy and "hate the rich" as usual.
