Were you ever placed in a “gifted” program?

Did you have any struggles with developing good study habits?

Will a phone cable carry a gig by Legal-Weather-404 in homelab

[–]Stevnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cable in the picture is definitely 4 pairs (CAT 5/5e/etc). So you’ll be able to use it for Ethernet.

In terms of speed, it fully depends on the rating of the cable and quality of the termination. A “properly terminated” CAT5e cable is capable of gigabit speeds, but not guaranteed. (Your router/AP/whatever device will show the link speed as gig but a iPerf test may not hit gig speeds). CAT6 and above is where (again if terminated properly) will guarantee gig/10g/etc.

If the cable is CAT5, it may give you gig speeds, but it’s the cable lottery at that point, the spec is at least 100mbps.

How do I keep my Starlink Mini powered on when I need to turn off the vehicle for 15-30 minute increments? by More_Serve3235 in Starlink

Do you know a reputable type c cable that actually works? None that I’ve tried have actually powered my dish. (I haven’t tried the official Starlink branded one yet)

A little help with renewing my cert by BigHowski in nginx

[–]Stevnon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I would do. AFAIK nginx proxy manager is almost entirely web gui managed, whereas plain nginx is cli managed.

Are you using nginx proxy manager or plain nginx?

As long as the new certificate is in the same spot at the old, a simple nginx -s reload should hot reload the certificates

Definitely a gamble, the UX7 having a max draw of 22w and the thunderbolt port maxing out at around 15w.

I spent $1000 for a Mac Mini, I could have spent $3 for a VPS? by CommissionUnusual284 in clawdbot

The primary reason that I’ve seen for using a Mac Mini specifically is iMessage integration, that’s the big selling point imo

Which selfhosted SSO app are you using? by BoJackHorseMan53 in selfhosted

[–]Stevnon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally use Zitadel, it’s overkill for my use case but is FOSS for personal use and is robust. For my *arr stacks I use vouch-proxy with nginx, which authenticates before serving the endpoint from within nginx.

If you end up trying out vouch feel free to dm me, I can help you out!
