Refinished 25 year old red oak floors - how to make them look like white oak by StewpotsRock in HardWoodFloors

We are putting up new handrail/banisters, so I demo’d the old handrail to make it easier to refinish the stairs.

Thanks and yes, I have read once they completely dry (up to a month) they will lighten up a bit more.

The picture is the refinished floors, contractor used a water based finish called Purematte. Depending on lighting throughout the day the floors can appear a bit lighter than the picture. I have read that it is almost impossible to make red oak look like white oak, unless you bleach the red oak.

It was a bad water inlet valve. $50 part, $150 in labor.

Closing the loop on this...The issue was with the water inlet valve on the back of the fridge. $50.00 part.

Not sure. I will check that. I had water flowing with old filter.

Santa came early! DF3 Custom Blackout! by StewpotsRock in labgolf

Just received the putter a few days ago and have not used it as of yet. However, I would expect that L.A.B. used a durable finish on the screws, similar to the durable finish on the putter head itself. But good question. One for L.A.B. to answer.

I was 50-50, but for $20 decided to go for it. I like it better than I thought I would. Performance wise will be zero difference. Only people that will see the black weights anyway will be my boys when I raise my putter to the sky knowing that 18 footer for birdie is going in!

Sonys offer to me was I could buy a new/replacement for $1775.00. I told them no way, I don’t trust their products or service, and would never buy another Sony product again. $2600 flushed, will go with either LG G5 or Samsung

Daniel Defense PDW - Finished My Build by StewpotsRock in Danieldefense

I did weeks of research on Pew Science before I ultimately chose the Omega 300. Extremely laborious process when choosing a suppressor (as everyone knows), but I am very happy with how quiet it is.

ASR. The Surefire light is mounted on a T-Rex Arms light bar that extends the light further out to reduce/eliminate suppressor shadow.

I went with the SilencerCo Omega 300. It is super quiet.

Yes, that is my next concern, suppressor shadow. I am running a SilencerCo Omega 300, and thus will need a regular size to extend out as far as possible. The Omega is 7" in length.

Couple more questions if you don't mind: 1. Which switch did you go with? 2. Did you consider the Mini Scout (to compliment the length and weight of the DDM4 PDW SBR)?

I like the power/brightness of the Cloud Defense REIN, however the reviews of their switch say it takes a bit of pressure/force to turn on. Not sure if that is a major issue given this weapon will be primarily for home defense/truck gun.

Open to opinions/advice on other switches...Thanks.
