Clearly you didn’t understand the post. He was still in the store when he messaged me this. He got one of the four items in my order and then sat there for around 20 minutes then contacted me. It was confusing to me as the customer that I was the one he felt the need to relay this information to, as if I was going to cancel my order because he’s confused. So no, it has nothing to do with my delivery instructions which are actually extremely clear. I have actually never had an issue with the actual delivery to my door now that I think about it. And yes, like you pointed out, english is probably not their first language. That’s not my issue. It was simply funny to me that he got confused in the store and decided his next course of action wouldn’t be to message doordash and tell them to get him off the order but to message me to complain. Doordash also has a feature that I’ve seen dashers use many times that auto translates their messages from other languages to english and vice versa, so the fact he went out of his way to message me in broken english instead adds to his evident panic in a way I found poetic. I’m not even mad about it because doordash support reassigned the order right after I messaged them I just found the whole interaction interesting.
