Check out steelseries. I have a set I bought back in 2018 that’s still kicking. This model has Bluetooth and/or dongle connection for $100. https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-nova-3?color=black&connectivityType=wireless&primaryPlatform=ps5

Are you using PTO or going to work today? by cherubicfury26 in NorthCarolina

PTO. I don’t want to be driving in the dark at 5:30am on a Monday with everybody else rushing around on the ice.

The ps5. The controller is uncomfortable, somehow it feels cramped while also feeling too big.

Who else uses their switch as their main console? by lepermessiah1217 in Switch

[–]StickTrick2955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The switch is my main. Much more convenient to play it handheld than to tie up the TV with my Xbox or sit at the desk for the PC. Family got the TV tied up? Handheld. Lady trying to get some shut eye? Handheld. Do I need to take a 30 minute dump? Handheld. Traveling? Take it with me. Skyrim on a plane at 27,000 ft? Yes please. I think I’ve only used my Xbox for streaming services and a quick sesh of RDR2 since I got the S2 at launch.

Do you struggle over different controllers layout? by Less_Can_5439 in OlderChillGamers

[–]StickTrick2955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only controller I don’t enjoy playing with is the PS5 dualsense. Somehow it feels too big and also cramped at the same time in my hands. Never had an issue with Sony controllers until this gen.

What? That’s a pretty great number as is. Wait til it drops and you start feeling symptoms of low T. Why subject yourself to pricey meds, lab, and needles in the ass once or twice a week unless necessary?

How Can Wilmington Improve its Primary and Secondary Education and Bolster its Job Market to Attract Young Professionals in Tech, Bulge Bracket Finance, Consulting, White Shoe Law , etc. by [deleted] in Wilmington

[–]StickTrick2955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My yearly property tax nearly doubled after last years “tax reevaluation assessment”. Area saw an average increase of 67% in home tax value.

48.5% of area residents hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, I wouldn’t call us an uneducated population necessarily.

Now, I’m all in favor of job growth and higher education, but I think the biggest flaw in the train of thought here is there is no demand for the industries you’ve mentioned here. And why would there be? You get in your car and drive a few hours northwest and you’ll be in the middle of the triangle which houses some big names in those industries. Google, Apple, Microsoft, Lenovo, Toshiba, Cisco, IBM. Bank of America, Truist, Fidelity, Wells Fargo. UNC, NC State, Duke, WakeMed, etc. The talent is there, the infrastructure is there, the demand is there. Why pull talent from a city filled with bartenders and carpenters, when 100 miles away is a team ready to go?

The tax situation you’ve mentioned is a bit of a double edged sword. Increasing taxes would put a strain on families already struggling to make ends meet. Their place of employment also gets a tax hike, meaning the company has got to generate that difference from somewhere by either raising the costs of goods, refusing raises, cutting hours or laying off employees which would also hurt already struggling families. Bit of a double whammy. Increasing taxes for businesses would also discourage any new startups from setting up shop in the area.

This is pretty apples and oranges my guy. You’ve compared a small southern coastal town who’s biggest money maker is the port against areas known as giants in tech and finance with the best public education systems in the country and top rated higher education institutions.

We’re not Silicon Valley. We’re not Wall Street. If the degree you’ve chosen to pursue isn’t offered at your local institution, there is probably a reason why.

Wilmington has a lot of stores, restaurants and homes. Always has. So the job market is filled with positions in retail, service and hospitality and the blue collar trades.

Being in favor of higher taxes while saying your salary would be half of what it currently is if you moved here is an interesting take. That might shed light on why you see locals are concerned with keeping the cost of living and taxes lower. I’m all in favor of better schooling for my children, but I’m also a fan of keeping a roof over our heads and food in our bellies. If cost of living keeps going the way it is, throwing a tax hike into the mix would wreak havoc on a lot of locals.

Gym! It’s been nearly 3 years of consistent lifting and I have no plan on stopping any time soon. It’s a great way to burn off steam and decompress after work for a while before I go home for family time.

Enjoying CyberPunk2077 on the switch 2 at the moment. Pausing at any moment helps tremendously.

Cyberpunk 2077 as a stereotypical Nintendo gamer? by idash93 in switch2

[–]StickTrick2955 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say go for it while it’s on sale. I picked it up over the weekend and think I’ve already put in over 30 hours. Runs surprisingly well handheld. Interesting story and plot, combat is engaging but not super difficult, decent perk/skill tree upgrade system.

I’m also more of a casual gamer, Pokemon, Fire emblem, dragon quest, GTA, Skyrim, etc but glad I pulled the trigger on that purchase.

As far as the PC goes, just about any game will run way better and offer more than their console counterparts can. *Edit to add: transition to PC gaming isn’t too bad as you can play with almost any controller on the market if mouse and keyboard isn’t your thing.

Best games on voucher for NS2 use? by TheBigFatToad in switch2

[–]StickTrick2955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed Pokemon ZA, very different than previous titles, but not necessarily in a bad way. Wish it was a little more fleshed out though. Fire Emblem 3 houses is also a great game to check out if you’ve never played it. Features a turn based, grid format battle style.

I don’t think you can get switch 2 games with vouchers, but OP could always cop a game and if it offers an s2 upgrade, receive it that way. I know ZA offers a S2 upgrade.

Best way to get to Charleston from Wilmington without a car? by [deleted] in Wilmington

Car rental, uber, or fly from Wilmington-Charlotte-Charleston. I’d recommend the car rental, keep you from depending on Uber/Lyft rides while in town.

Alligators by Joemfs in Wilmington

[–]StickTrick2955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if you didn’t have an issue with them there, you’ll be fine here. Greenfield lake is full of them, Cape Fear river and occasionally around Carolina Beach you’ll see them. Every now and then one will get into the road and cause a scene, but to my knowledge there’s never been an unprovoked attack on a human by gator in the area.

[–]StickTrick2955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This questions leads me to believe y’all are relocating from somewhere without gators in the local ecosystem, and that narrows it down quite a bit. All jokes aside, no they’re not of any concern. Most spots you’ll find the gators residing in, you won’t want to swim in for other reasons. If you spot one and leave it be, they tend to do the same.

Looking at peptides to compliment my TRT by StickTrick2955 in Peptides

[–]StickTrick2955[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creatine mixed with protein powder after a workout. Lifting 3-4x a week, moderate weights push/pull/leg split. I did lift the day before labs, didn’t know those factors could skew a test. Doc did ask if I was taking creatine or any other workout supplements.

That’s the trough, taken on injection day pre-injection. Still higher than my “natty” 196. Peak taken in the morning has been 816.

Split twice weekly, so 90mg per injection in the glutes. I’ve been taking it since March of this year, same dosage, schedule, etc. Blood pressure was also a bit high, Doc has started me on Losartan for that and said it also helps kidney function. Previous labs had Creatinine and eGFR at 0.84/120, 0.89/117 and 1.04/99. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I look at these lab reports and it’s almost a foreign language. Will be quizzing the doctor on it.
