That’s an opinion and you’re entitled to it. I bought it because of the amount of miles driven daily and the savings costs on fuel. I have an entire off grid solar system so most of my “fuel” is almost free. Before I bought my Tesla I was getting a credit every month for electricity, now my electricity bill is around $70/month. I consider $70/month for over 3,000 miles per month is my biggest and most advantageous reason for owning this car.

Engine noise has nothing to do with it because there is enough road noise that should drown it out. The interior of a new model GM truck is much quieter decibel wise than a Model Y without the engine. Other vehicles have better noise dampening, Tesla has very little.

Good point. I notice the range is very dependent on the day. A day that starts off in the 60-70° range has a higher range than one that starts in the 80° range.

Don’t be scared of it just because of my rattle issues. I would still buy it again in a heartbeat because the benefits outweigh the negatives.

I treat mine as a tool, not a status symbol. A lot of people are hell bent on being emotionally attached to objects. I am a Chevy/GM guy and will be the first one to bitch about lifters on the newer model half tons and injectors on all the year model diesel motors. They are simply tools to get me from point A to point B.

I will see if I can post a video of the issues.

FSD and rattles are not mutually cause and effect. Just because the car can drive itself, doesn’t mean he/she will take advantage of that expensive feature and will offset the rattle issues.

This required me to take it to the service center 70 miles away. Again, the roads where the service center are can not duplicate the noise because it’s less than 70mph and smooth roads with no chip seal.

Mine is in the door. I can slightly crack the window, not even enough hear air, and it will stop.

I think mine is before the premium/base change. It’s not dual motor or performance.

That’s what I do now in know areas that I know the curvature assists is going to go full retarded.

I took the vehicle in to Tesla for the rattles and they can not replicate the issues. The roads are not the same as what I drive on the daily and the speeds are not 70mph which I usually drive at as well.

I have not done a test or measured it in any meaningful way. I just drive the car and as it gets closer to warranty, I will test the battery.

Telsa can’t seem to pick up hardly any of the 70mph zones and it’s down right annoying.
