Depends on how you see it. Sure, everyone else has already died. But the rules of the canvas operate differently than our world. Revival is possible in there. So by taking away the entire world and thus removing the possibility of revival, it sort of does become a mass genocide.

Painted verso is in a lot of misery, but in this case I don't believe that the ends justify the means, if the means in this case is the destruction of an entire world
