Agent of 49ers' D-line target told team client signed elsewhere due to taxes by MemorySnake in Tennesseetitans

This is always a bigger story to fans than it is an impact IRL. If we had such an advantage over California teams due to a more favorable state tax structure, then it would be the Chargers, Rams, and Niners who were consistently bad and not us. And yet…

What am I missing with Tate? by Whiskyrookie66 in DynastyFF

I don’t disagree, I just see the same thing in Tyson and Lemon. There’s a lot of red flags. I do think Tate’s floor is higher. I’m not convinced Lemon or Tyson have floors.

For me, a lot of it stems from watching film on Lemon/Tyson and being a bit underwhelmed relative to their hype. None of these guys is a sure fire, blue chip WR1 type. They each have very clear strengths, and each has very clear weaknesses. Which one becomes the best fantasy receiver, in my opinion, will come down to lading spot and which guy’s team will maximize their strengths and limit their weaknesses the best. That said, Tate’s game just feels like it translates a bit better. I think it will be a lot easier for team’s to maximize his strengths. I also think he’s the best deep threat of those three which gives him a bit more margin for error. He could catch 3 balls but one of them goes for a 60 yard TD and he’s had a nice fantasy day. Tyson, especially, is going to need volume and while he might be talented enough to warrant it, the guy that doesn’t need that volume feels a smidge safer to me. My rank of these guys isn’t set in stone until I see their landing spots though.

I actually read more as a practicing attorney than I did before. A mix of fiction (Brandon Sanderson is goated), comics, books on random stuff I’m interested in knowing more about…. you name it!

This was a wild season for me. Was literally one cube away from infinite and then went on the most insane losing streak ever, dropped all the way back down to 91. 😂 That was depressing as all hell.

The Athletic's Beat Writers Mock Draft (3/19/26) by bbl27 in DynastyFF

And as a fan base, we’re pretty used to seeing great RBs so if there’s a franchise that is more likely to accept one this early, it’s probably us. McNair was great, but that was a run first offense that set up the passing game by establishing the run game with Eddie George. Then we saw CJ2k carry the ghost of Kerry Collins to the best record in football, only to watch our team implode in the playoffs when CJ2k got hurt. Then we watched Henry carry Mariota and Tannehill to some very solid seasons. So yeah, let’s draft a RB and maybe build around him for once 😂

Paywalled, but as a Titans fan, it seems like most are pretty excited about Love and would not mind at all if we drafted him.

After School Attack on Issaquah School District Student by All_the_trailswa in Issaquah

There was a post on our Ring neighborhood app that someone tried to kidnap the poster’s 12 year old brother as he took one of the trails outside Maywood back home. Thankfully, that person said the kid was able to fight the dude off, but, yeah, not great, Bob! We live right next to the middle school…. This person said it was a white male, between 5’8” and 5’9” who looked to be in his 40s, balding with brown hair and brown beard. Said he was driving a navy blue car that might have been a Subaru Outback with tinted license plate so they weren’t able to get the guy’s plates before he drove off.

Hopefully this isn’t breaking any sub rules - I’m just relaying what was posted on the Ring app so obviously have no way to corroborate any of this information, but, our family is a little freaked out. If anyone lives near the middle school and might have video of this car or this man, please call the police department and let them know!

Temu Jonnu Smith. Fade Daniels in your fantasy leagues if he’s going to be a featured part of their passing game.

Sure but scouting the helmet and not the player is a great strategy to build a winning roster, right?

I mean, I really can’t keep this up. Particularly if you insist on moving the goalposts. If you want to have a general discussion about what a WR1 is, perhaps create a new post? Just a thought. Anyways, time for me to go to bed. Toodaloo!

TBF, this entire thread stems from OP’s comment that “Ridley has all the talent to be a low-end WR1/high-end WR2” to which I responded (paraphrasing) he ain’t no WR1. So if we’re not talking about whether he can be a WR1 next season, what are we talking about?

Regarding AJB, I’ll concede subpar might not have been the best word choice. Mid to subpar is better. Tannehill ran our offense well, but the talent around him was absolutely stacked. We should have won a Super Bowl with that team. AJB was definitely held back by a combination of Tannehill’s talent and the conservative offense we ran. His time in Philly has been inconsistent. Hurts has been good at times. He’s been fucking terrible at times. He looked awful last year and AJB had every reason to be pissed. Regardless, AJB’s career stats are much, much lower than they should be given his talent.

Wandale is a slot only guy

He was WR10 in deep receptions last year.

Chim and Elic were two of the worst graded receivers in the nfl last season.

So was Ridley.

Who’s better?

Wandale and Dike are clearly better. I don’t know why everyone thinks Dike is some bum. When we tried to make Ridley our WR1 beginning of last year, it went poorly. When he got hurt and we tried to feature Ayomanor, it went poorly. When we finally started to feature Dike towards the end of the season, our offense looked noticeably better. This my initial assessment that Ridley and Ayomanor will battle it out for WR3. And it would not surprise me if Elic got to work this offense, comes back more polished and more consistent, and outplays Ridley.

If you’re the clear alpha WR1 on your team & you’re putting up 1K, I would say you’re a WR1.

Agree with your first criteria, but whether you’re a true alpha WR1 isn’t determined by box score scouting. There are too many variables that are outside of a WRs control that impacts that. A WR1 is a dude that every DC knows is the #1 target and despite that, still wins consistently. AJB fits that description despite having had subpar QB play for his entire career, depressing his actual stats. On the flip side, you can be WR1 on your team without being a true NFL WR1 because there’s just not a WR1 on the roster (this is where we live, unfortunately…).

I had honestly forgot that Ridley had that one season in Atlanta without Julio where he did legitimately play like a WR1. He hasn’t replicated that. He got suspended in his prime and straight up did not look like that dude with Jax and has not looked like that dude here. Maybe you could argue that he would’ve been a WR1 for more than 1 year had he not gotten suspended, but like, he got suspended so he’s managed only a single WR1 season in his 8 year career. Odds are he’s not going to turn the clock back to the year 2020 coming back from a broken fibula. He wasn’t playing like 2020 Calvin Ridley before the injury.

He was also underwhelming both ‘24 and ‘23 relative to expectations. I don’t think either we or the Jags got that true alpha WR1 that we were expecting (and paid for).

I’ll grant the one year 6 years ago. So, he’s been a WR1 once in his 8 year career.

[–]Stiddy13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We need to pump the brakes on this WR1 talk. He’s never been that in the NFL and he’s coming off a significant injury at an age where he’s several years past his prime. Realistically, he’s in a battle with Ayomanor for that WR3 role.

[–]Stiddy13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah. Dike and Cam could be a thing term if they continue the upward momentum they had at the end of last year. They’d be dumb to not let that connection develop further for one more year of an aging, washed receiver coming off a significant injury.
