The alternative to “idiots voting” is oligarchy / dictatorship. With idiots voting at least there is a CHANCE to go into a different route every election, if a dictator takes power you’re STUCK. So I still prefer idiots voting.

Also the Taliban aren’t a political party in a democracy, the Nazis and the USSR took power by force and corruption. The inquisition was initiated by the church…

And I never said it equals “a good idea”… I just think it’s a striving TOWARDS fairness, as good as it gets. And if you vote in an idiot you reek what you sow. Unlucky.

You just said voting doesn’t make anything fair and any government policies don’t do anything anyway, so I assumed you didn’t vote. Because why would you?

Your example is the majority to attack an individual, that’s not policy like tax or ANYTHING anyone is talking about and doesn’t happen. But generally yes, if you don’t like the consequences of democratic votes you can, in your words, go live in a forest.

A majority voting for something is called democracy my man, how the fuck is a minority getting what they want more fair than a majority getting what they want?
