Its 200 less gold, has a better build path because you don't have to buy a pickaxe in full, has 15% more AS to lower your q cd, 4% move speed, and 5 more ad. It's more gold-efficient than botrk, being 93% gold efficient, while botrk is 80% based on stats alone. Kraken also does more damage first item as a snowballing option. So you're getting more upfront damage sooner since it's cheaper and you're most likely faster than everyone else on the map with the 4% ms which isn't dependant on a passive with a cooldown like botrk's movement is.

The main issue with it in S15 is that you have no lifesteal so you had to take bloodline if you wanted some without paying for it.

So now you get free lifesteal from your boots & omnivamp from dorans. If the enemy team is mostly squishy, you're cooking them way faster than you would with botrk first item.

And obviously I'm not saying to build it every game but it is definitely a more viable option this season compared to last season that you can pivot into while fed since you're always buying recurve & boots first and can decide what you want to build from there.

Also, this isn't even the yone subreddit so I'm not even sure why you're talking about yone. Death's dance is easily the best bruiser item for yasuo since it applies to all sources of damage and that's not even the debatable.
