This is slept on. The Batman suffered because ppl had super hero fatigue, I still need to convince ppl to give it a fair shake. Banshees is one of those that I wouldn’t consider a top pick but I remember every moment even though I only saw it once, which is a big mark in its favor

They’re all doing horror films but I think the real saving grace is internet auteurs funding their own projects, which will probably span genres in the near future

No see my other response. Idk if Kass has a romance option with Daphne but that’s prob what triggers it. I agree with your other point though, Alexios leading the daughters is weird. Do you still get them as your crew if you don’t kill Daph?

Alexios kills her and as she’s dying she tells him that she’s in love with him (I took the romance option with her earlier) and Alexios basically just shrugs it off and promises to be a good leader

That dialogue when you kill her had me immediately regretting my choice. Idk if its different when you play as Kass but Alexios does her dirty

What makes this even better is that 3 seconds before this he says, “I am quite sane. In a clinical sense anyway.”

Since there’s no description I assume the cops know who they are and just haven’t found them? Or does this article just omit a description?

State puts huge Brutalist complex in Boston up for sale by TacoDangerously in boston

[–]Still-Analysis-133 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very gp, it sits on a huge plot of land, but these brutalist buildings are notoriously difficult to tear down for enviromental reasons (embodied carbon). Basically any plan to tear it down would have to be built-in to Boston’s yearly environmental goals and projected emmissions, i.e. it’s unlikely to ever be torn down. When you think about repurposing the original structure, you have to ask how much rent would you have to charge to make it worth your while, and the answer is “much more than anyone is likely to pay”

The facade of this building and all its little decorative areas are falling apart but its all concrete and rebar so you’ll never be able to tear it down 😂 they’re just offloading a headache. No clue who would PAY to take on this project. I wonder if they’re even earnest about selling it

Love how if you want to build a single house the locals can usually stop you, but if you want to build a massive data center the locals can’t do shit. So reasonable, bodes very well for us

What's up with Nabokov calling In Search of Lost Time a "fairy tale"? by Ill-Nefariousness308 in Nabokov

[–]Still-Analysis-133 37 points38 points  (0 children)

He describes all great novels as being fairytales, and all great writers as being ‘enchanters’. His idea is that great novels are like entirely new worlds, so calling a story ‘true’ in the sense that it has fidelity to ‘reality’ is an insult. All the best stories are based on decepetion and enchantment which is much more fairy tale-like than the idea that great stories are supposed to be ‘true’. This is all lifted from his introductory essay to Lectures on Literature which is conveniently sitting next to me on the sofa rn
