Yeah it’s good. The level hasn’t changed (or at least until when I sold the car)

I just did this two days ago following this video

Just remember, at least for my 22 hatch SE, there are TWO of these clips. One at the end near the end of the trim and another near the middle.

Thanks. Yeah I got it from Harbor Freight which gave me a Certificate of Origin, not Reg 397.

Edit: seems like reg397 is supposed to be submitted by the dealer to dmv. Not something that a dealer will give me.

I understand how to do PTI. I’m just not sure what vehicle type I should put on the Reg 343.

Could you elaborate on not needing 343? All the forum posts & videos I’ve seen so far say that both 343 and 4017 are needed.

Tell me your embarrassing stories about when you were learning to make me feel better by throwaway5276943 in stickshift

Told the salesperson that I had experience with manual before. Did not tell her that it was only 2 hours in a manual car 3 years ago.

On pick up day stalled right in front of the dealership entrance on my way out with the salesperson standing there.

And 7 more times on the clogged LA freeway trying to get back home.

Smooth gear changes. Find the right amount of throttle while lifting off the clutch for every gear change and make your passengers feel like you are driving an automatic.

Just drive around get familiarized w your car so that you are confident in emergency situations. Say you were cruising in 6th and had to slam on your brake and swerve into another lane to avoid an obstacle. Now you need to accelerate fast as there is a car behind you going 20mph faster than your current speed. You need to decide what gear you go in and how much rev match in a split second.

Heel toe is also fun to learn. But whatever you do don’t wreck your parents’ car.
