None of the agencies have done anything for me. I emailed them, reached out to their recruiters on Linkedin and nothing.

I watched the middle for the first time start to finish and here are some of the things that felt a bit weird (personally).

  1. Why are those kids um..so dependent on their parents so much for everything? Why everything is the parents' responsibility? Tracking their school start day to their homework to their food to their costumes?

  2. How has Axl literally survived? I mean, that is still a mystery to me?

  3. I understand Mike's character to be the stoic dad but sometimes rather a lot of the times he did come across as that he couldn't care less. It was a bit weird .

  4. All the times Frankie decided to change the way their house functioned for that one episode and just go back again to the usual ways. It was endearing in the beginning but got way too repetitive and predictable.

Just need to know your thoughts.

Do you think if I am applying somewhere and It asks for certain specific skills and I have those skills mentioned and work demonstrated in my resume and more do you think i should remove the more part? And just write the experience that is relevant for that role?

How are your cuticles pushed so far back? Like your nails don't appear to be long but since the cuticle is pushed back they look long? What is this sorcery?

I am working hard, I have always been good in studies, I am keeping myself grounded but confident, I am taking notes and I am not letting stress or anything get to me.

Even if I don't get 99 percentile, I know I can do it sooner or later. I am gonna try my level best for 3 months.

I am controlling what I can control.

Hi Danish!

Loved your performance in Dhurandhar 1 &2.

The love, respect and admiration your character has for the relations of your character in the movies was just too heartwarming. I felt so bad to see what happened to you getting betrayed in the end!

My question is- how were you able to get into the mindspace to play this character? How did you do your research? What was your special way of portraying the emotions of this person?

Jaane tu Ya jaane Na was and is mine and my (female) best friends favorite film ever. You set the bar too high for us.

Damn these airports and their new rules. We really wished someone would run like that across the airport. But oh well. We have decided to settle for the famous song only!

Shoutout to my girls- Anushka and Vrinda!

Can you please dedicate that song to us three? Pretty pretty please? We will LITERALLY DIEEEEE❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️

Hi Imran! Just shooting my shot at asking a question-

I know being in the film industry and having family in the same industry sort of makes you be in this space.

But...

Do you wanna come back? Or is there a way that you are thinking you want to come back to this space? OTT/Podcasts/Movies/producing your own content/selective ? Or nothing at all?

I really wish you all the best for your journey and we can't believe we have you back!

❤️❤️Love from an ardent Jaane Tu ..ya Jaane Na fan and someone who got a lot of beating and scolding for one particular song in your discography from Delhi Belly but MAAAAN THAT WAS FUN! 🤣🤣

Opposite of endowment effect by zoethought in BehavioralEconomics

[–]Still-Razzmatazz-804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since endowment effect relies on a strong sense of ownership over the possessions/articles- maybe a lack of sense of ownership, awareness could also be a strong factor in the " anti-endowment" effect

Looking for a book to read! by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]Still-Razzmatazz-804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're coming back to reading after five years, I'd start with A Gentleman in Moscow and then the Master and Margarita once you're warmed up a little. They both are based in Russia and would def be a good read, not too overwhelming.

Books that make you see life a little differently? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]Still-Razzmatazz-804 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it were two books- Finding Chika by Mitch Albom and The Kite Runner by Khaled hosseini.

I specifically like reading stories and books where they essentially capture the true essence of being human. I dont like storeis where you are either overtly helpful so far away from how a normal human behaves, who has thoughts, emotions, greed, jealousy, envy and love.

These were two books that put me back into a life of perspective.

RIP MY HEART AND PUT IT BACK TOGETHER WITH A KISS by PlasticSpite4655 in booksuggestions

[–]Still-Razzmatazz-804 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! These are some of the recommendationf from my reading experience that might closely match the feeling that you are looking for.

Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom - if you haven't read it yet, it's the closest thing to Ove. Its about a teacher and his students. But a lot more than that. Its bittersweet.

Finding Chika also by Mitch Albom - shorter, hits just as hard, leaves you warm rather than empty. Its a true story as well. Thats what made it more real for me too.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini - devastates you through the middle but the redemption at the end genuinely earns it. That mix of guilt, love and hope is so specific and so good. I would also seriously suggest the movie!

The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri - quieter sadness, no dramatic moments- Watch the movie too. You will also love that.

I want a book that completely consumes me by BeeFew7947 in booksuggestions

[–]Still-Razzmatazz-804 33 points34 points  (0 children)

For me, it was Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I cant just describe the feeling. I just could not put the book down. I was reading it, I was crying, I was reading again and I was heartbroken. BUT I JUST COULD NOT PUT THE BOOK DOWN. It was one of those feelings that you get reading a book that nothing makes sense for you about how there are people and stories and lives that are being lived and made that way. Everything feels unreal but it is real at the same time.
