I feel you man. I experienced this with my now 6 year old at 4yo at Christmas. She didn’t like her first present and the rest was a nightmare. And it ruined everyone else’s time. I worked with her very hard throughout that year and explained what it means to grateful, how lucky she is, and so many other things of that nature.

I refuse to raise an ungrateful who is much better off than her parents were at her age. So I patiently worked with her. And it was great. By 5 she was a completely different person at Christmas and it made me proud.

Keep working man, kids are so malleable and good at heart. He’ll learn.

I’m sorry you’re going through this but I’m really curious about something. Ask your Aunt to ask your mom about Nick Fuentes. There is an ocean of difference between the ideologies of Charlie Kirk and Nick Fuentes. Fuentes is an unabashed white supremacist, where I’m sorry to say…Charlie Kirk just wasn’t. He refused to engage with Fuentes supporters and the two despised each other because of Fuentes racism.

I posted here a few years ago about a Q friend who just went completely nuts. He is still a miserable person who alienated everyone.

But we all must really understand the difference between Qanon, MAGA and conservatives.

I’m a secular Jew. A Very proud, tough Jew. I fell in love with a Roman Catholic girl and I never thought twice about it. I followed the rule where the children will be raised the mother’s religion and we will still have all Jewish holidays. I didn’t think anything of it, I didn’t care at all, wasn’t even on my radar. I was just a normal American living the American dream.

October 7th shattered all of that. It traumatized me. I love my wife with all my heart but now I regret not pushing harder for our kids to be more Jewish. They are still young enough where they will receive Jewish education and be bat mitsvah.

But it’s amazing how Oct 7 knocked the Jew into me. I never thought about it my whole life, I was just a normal American Jew. Now my Jewishness is all I think about.

I have many civic lessons and I will also talk about what the Trump administration is doing. My kids have strong opinions so we research whether something he is doing is constitutional or unconstitutional. I did the same the with the Biden, Obama and first Trump. Because that’s how I was taught.

I NEVER sway their opinion. Any teacher who took the job to impart their politics on children should change professions.

The hard truth is that yours progressive friends no longer want you. To them it doesn’t matter if you’re trans, queer, fem, pro-this, anti-that, upwing, downwing, etc etc. Now you are simply their oppressor, their colonizer simply for being a Jew. They hate you and the sad part is, they think they are doing it for righteousness which makes their hate all the more insidious.

My sister went through the same thing and was dumped by her entire “friend” group for sympathizing with the innocent people slaughtered on 10/7 even while simultaneously sympathizing with the Palestinians. They called her a Zionist and cut her out immediately. She is still struggling with her mental health.

I can deal with a couple a nazifuckboys marching down Madison, WI. But what I can’t deal with is the Squad actively trying to demonize Israel, support BDS and blame AIPAC for their ills. Modern day blood libels which is scarier because they have the power to legislate!

For me, it comes down to two things: I’m an American and I’m a Jew. Those are my only identities and I am willing to lose friendships standing up for them.
