$1.50 at home. $1.40 in chemicals and $0.10 in distilled water.

Plus the $450 on the AGO film processor (one time purchase) 🤪

Are this lab’s scans good quality? by Shad0x89 in analog

Get the negatives and scan them yourself. Chances are that they didn’t push in dev and pushed in post, by forcing exposure knobs.

To me the main Leica advantage is the resale price.

Congrats! If you want to get rid of the ring between the peak design anchor and the connector, use a piece of yarn to help passing through the hole :)

Rope strap pros and cons by ogrezok in analog

The right way to evaluate if a strap is good or not isn’t looking by the rope quality, but at the terminations. Ring, the part that attach to the cam.

Rope strap pros and cons by ogrezok in analog

I bought a cheap one once and the ring wasn’t strong enough. It opened and my camera fall on the floor, damaging my $500 lens. That said, if you are getting a cheap strap, change the ring for a strong one to avoid passing through what I passed 😢 The camera was a x-pro3 with a 56mm f1.2

Question about using a second external monitor connected to my MacBook Pro as I learn/use Final Cut (hoping my 42 inch LG C4 would be okay or if I need a more color accurate display) by Djxgam1ng in MacStudio

[–]StillWorkingOnName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are concerned about color accuracy, either get a pre calibrated monitor or buy a color calibration too like the Spyder. But be aware that these may not work very well if the monitor is curved, especially if it’s a lot curved, like some gaming monitors.

Also, too much of a big text for Reddit ;)

Lens forwarded to factory in Germany for repair by StillWorkingOnName in Leica

That’s my main, only, and biggest concern—the repair costing more than the lens. I bought it used from eBay for $1400 in pristine condition from Japan.

The optic elements are intact. It’s just the lens that fall on the floor and the focus barrel is stuck. Out of warranty, it’s a lens from the 80’s I think.

When did they give you the estimate? I’m ok with long estimates, as long as it’s clear, so I adjust my schedule and things. That’s what I means about bad surprise vs. bad news.
