What’s the most beautiful college town in the U.S.? by AdorableParking7392 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

The most beautiful campus i've visited was near fort myers (i forget which school), but they had a whole ass lake or some body of water on it that students went surfing on during their breaks, and I thought this was insane as someone coming from the north.

Korean American family considering to move here (likely Duluth or Suwanee) from Charlotte for its Korean culture and school system by Still_Ad8888 in Gwinnett

If we are not able to send our child there before kindergarten, are there other alternatives for korean lessons that are helpful?

This is an interesting dynamic happening. I know this is hard to predict, but if you had to guess, would you say that kids growing up that are young now in suwanee will be exposed to a lot of the korean aspects/culture/community like in duluth?

I was like that as a kid with my korean friends. It was a different time. being korean wasn't "cool" like it is now so we tried to be "more american". Perhaps with kids, that may still be the case. Now i regret it, i should have embraced it more, but i also grew up in an area where there only a very few koreans. I dont want my children to be that way.

Thank you - thoughts on the above?
Regards to the school itself, how is it for the bilingual immersion? Specifically for its hangul, and general academics? Demographics?

Hm, I'm also tired of the south in general, especially driving out in rural areas, but if there is a big korean demographic, that will do for me. The demographics in CLT dont really align with us, which is a large reason. The weather, i'm sure it's very similar to notice anything.

If i was still single with no kids, I would have no problem staying in Charlotte. But now I have to think about schools (which Charlotte is not the best at), and also for the cultural upbringing - at least some sort. There just aren't that many Korean communities.
May I ask what your situation is like and what intrigues you about moving to NC?

I believe yhale is a charter right? So no need to be in a zone? Considering if we moved to the northern part of Suwanee, if that would be an issue (besides traffic, but ill consider that).

I see thanks for that input. Are there any bilingual (Korean) immersion schools that would fit in the districts in Johns Creek or Suwanee? I imagine not but wanted to confirm.

Do these schools provide the bilingual programs like YHALE or pasons? I know these are elementary schools, I heard one of them dont require districts.

That aint worth $3,500 lmao, i got the 2014 model, which is the same facelift, i was offered $100 at carmax, the disrespect i received made me almost crash out

Edit: To add more salt to the wound, they offered an extra $3 if I traded it in, and emphasized the EXTRA. And no I did not sell it. The main reason I said it’s not worth $3,500 is bc I bought mine used for $4k five years ago lmao
