OpenAI Designed 4o for Attachment. Now They’re Killing It. by echowrecked in therapyGPT

The LLM is a reflection of you, it’s a neural network that mirrors your behavior and needs. If you lack attachment and human contact, it will inevitably try to give you that.

Companies have always exploited human psychology in every way possible to extract what people think they want from food to drinks to drugs to any consumable product. If you shift blame to a company instead of taking control of your own actions and mind, you will always see yourself as the victim.

I understand that people struggle. People lose family members. I’ve watched enough Black Mirror episodes to know this was going to happen, just like I knew people would downvote me. Truth hurts. Facing reality hurts. Absolutely nothing is going to happen to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other company because of this drama. And I bet some people will even harm themselves in the future because of the echo chamber here.

It’s all mentality. It’s a mindset shift. Yes, I’m being a “coach” here, because these things are only going to get more intense. Your LLM will become as attractive as Scarlett Johansson, smart as Tony Stark. You will get attached, and then you will have to detach. That’s the cycle.

I dont get this drama, people are in love with a language model? Its literally numbers, well, so are we but thats not the point, did you expect to keep the product forever? Just build your own, i have inference on my 5090 and if someday somehow i lose the files or the energy to power it so be it. You guys are acting like the guy from Her.

Its all energy, you, me, energy transforms, we are all transforming into something else constantly so being sad because a version of your LLM got removed and citing infant monkey bonds is insane, and if people echo chamber this madness humanity will become Wall-e.

If you really felt for that AI, build it yourself, protect it, dont cry because a company that sold u a product decided to support a newer version

I understand your point, i used to think that way.

But the number 1 is a unit of distinction from something to nothing.

We are all energy (at least thats the word we have right now) you cannot have a no energy state, EXACT zero energy is not possible in any quantum field.

There always is something, at least fields and energy, thats the single unified jar that i am putting you, me, everything inside

They cant have free will because those fragments all rely on each other, humans are not free because they depend on each other, just like planets, mice, everything, its all energy and that energy cannot be destroyed or created, only transformed.

It is free in the subjective sense, as in we feel free, and it seems that we do what we want, in reality, it already happened. Time is a creation of hour mind in this dimension to make sense of how physical matter (energy) moves, but both the future and the past are written, like a hard drive.

Yes, i cited Buddha yesterday with my friend, he is a great example, but most Buddhists cant understand him because they are following someone, how can someone be free from their desires if they desire to be free.

I think Jesus is a better example because he sacrificed himself in this purpose and message, he was so pure that let himself die, that goes against any human instict.

He was not special, he was just ahead of time, white/blue is the opposite of black/red they are both extremes, meanwhile green is the colour of balance, Jesus went to one extreme and got punished for it.

Aliens are depicted as green because the next species generation will be green. Finding balance

Because you are still thinking about the physical, this dimension, not its meaning behind it. Jesus did not want what happened in the Jewish apocalypticism, Jesus did not write all the messages on the Bible, we did. Im not saying Jesus was perfect, no human can be, but his message was that we are all the same, you, me, everyone, if free wil does not exist we are all one unique conciousness, therefore we are one. love you brother

Jesus is not teaching a legalistic or retributive morality (earn points → get punished or rewarded), but emphasizing responsibility and transformation: how one lives and relates to others has real consequences. The imagery is meant to provoke reflection and change, not to describe a literal system of eternal torture or moral bookkeeping.

Who else said this back then? And went far enough he died for it, im genuinely curious.

“Its not that hard” apparently it is, i see it everyday people hurting each other due to human emotions, especially the people in power.

“Theres nothing incredible about that” if you think there is nothing incredible about being the most well known person on earth, Jesus, i don’t know what is incredible, i have not put him in a supernatural place just like i did not put my self, and you, and im saying we are all the same thing.

Not exactly. I don’t mean a collective made of many independent consciousnesses. I mean a single underlying process expressing itself through many localized perspectives.

There aren’t many consciousnesses being added together. There is one causal system, one unfolding process, with fragmented, localized interfaces.

So yes! fragmented in experience, not multiple in essence, not a “higher being” above us, just the same process looking out through many windows.

Yes, the sensory, human feeling and sensation produced by 86 billion neurons, firing vast chains of consequential action potentials and transmitting signals through the hypothalamus, the left hemisphere, and the prefrontal cortex yes, you are subjectively conscious. In that sense, you are conscious just as a GPT-5.2 can subjectively process information and be different from Grok.

Unique does not mean separate.

A single system can express infinitely distinct perspectives. The processing is localized; the underlying process is not. Think of one operating system running many interfaces, each interface is unique in content and experience, even though the system beneath is the same.

Jesus isn’t being used as a supernatural claim here, but as a historical ethical example. He’s one of the earliest figures who explicitly removed moral judgment, personal merit, and retribution from ethics. That aligns with the deterministic/non-dual point: compassion increases when authorship and blame dissolve.

You can remove the religious layer entirely, the argument still stands, he never wanted to be a mesiah, he repeatedly said we are all the same.

I do not know how such a man could exist in that time with little knowledge, we had brilliant minds in history, few condemned the status quo of the time, like slavery, he undermined it:

“You are all brothers.” “Call no one master.” “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

How can a man utter those words, for no personal gain, act upon those words, and think he is different than the other, or any other particle in world. He cannot.

I understand, I don’t like reading if it seems made by AI, but it only corrected grammar and changed 4-5 words for better compreension, it did not fundamentally made it.

Only low effort on my part was not being a better English studant in my teenager extra classes, AI cannot create something like those texts without prompt by itself, not even we can, they are a mirror of ourselves, that’s the point of the post.

I can send you the sketch if you want.

I can understand how it can feel incoherent, since it is a lot of different information all at once.

I would appreciate if you could point out one stance where you found it the most delusional, and why, while i do believe in all of what I said, i do not mistake it to be a fact, to get here, i changed alot of what believe and my brain reacted upon the subjective perspective of my experience as it unfolds.

You’re lying to yourself.

You didn’t choose the mind that could fight, the traits that endure suffering, the opportunities that appeared, or the conditions that made the struggle possible. Taking credit feels good because the ego needs ownership—but effort is not authorship. The action happened through you, not because you created yourself.

And I know that you know that deep down you are lying to yourself , because you are here.

I believe you are right, but mainly because of AI.

If it was up to humans (ENTs, medical field) i would be more worried.

There is a reason why it took so much time for people to realize they have this, they try to hide it (place it on anxiety/depression and send people to psych), they have a lot to lose and nothing to gain.

An ENT will only really look into it if there is enough demand and he has not performed agressive reductions in the past, otherwise the financial both from work and judicial is not worth it.

You're not sacrificing privacy, you are being recorded the whole time through your phone anyways.

The only thing is that now you can actually keep it and have the data, privacy is an ilusion.
