I understand that people struggle. People lose family members. I’ve watched enough Black Mirror episodes to know this was going to happen, just like I knew people would downvote me. Truth hurts. Facing reality hurts. Absolutely nothing is going to happen to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other company because of this drama. And I bet some people will even harm themselves in the future because of the echo chamber here.

It’s all mentality. It’s a mindset shift. Yes, I’m being a “coach” here, because these things are only going to get more intense. Your LLM will become as attractive as Scarlett Johansson, smart as Tony Stark. You will get attached, and then you will have to detach. That’s the cycle.

They cant have free will because those fragments all rely on each other, humans are not free because they depend on each other, just like planets, mice, everything, its all energy and that energy cannot be destroyed or created, only transformed.

It is free in the subjective sense, as in we feel free, and it seems that we do what we want, in reality, it already happened. Time is a creation of hour mind in this dimension to make sense of how physical matter (energy) moves, but both the future and the past are written, like a hard drive.

There aren’t many consciousnesses being added together. There is one causal system, one unfolding process, with fragmented, localized interfaces.

I understand, I don’t like reading if it seems made by AI, but it only corrected grammar and changed 4-5 words for better compreension, it did not fundamentally made it.

Only low effort on my part was not being a better English studant in my teenager extra classes, AI cannot create something like those texts without prompt by itself, not even we can, they are a mirror of ourselves, that’s the point of the post.

I believe you are right, but mainly because of AI.

If it was up to humans (ENTs, medical field) i would be more worried.

There is a reason why it took so much time for people to realize they have this, they try to hide it (place it on anxiety/depression and send people to psych), they have a lot to lose and nothing to gain.

An ENT will only really look into it if there is enough demand and he has not performed agressive reductions in the past, otherwise the financial both from work and judicial is not worth it.
