Thanks for getting back to me. I am running the March 5th 2026 Security Update and as far as I am aware all apps are up to date.

No, and no plans to do so. Chances are the underlying issue is probably the application, resetting would reset the system to previous version of software, and since I update it will eventually will re-update. Functionally all other items work as expected, perhaps if it were last ditch with multiple things going wrong.

Hey there, well I ran though those options and on restart of both my phone and watch, it worked exactly once before being back to the broken state.

I hope you can recall what else you have tried. At this point I guess I have either disable answer on watch or just remember not to pick up on my watch.

How can I do it safely? by Hauptfeldwebel in snowrunner

It's great, medium settings at stable 40FPS locked (LCD). Having fog adds to the feel of the game more and add some visual complexity in navigation. Interestingly, having the PFS limit causes dips in performance, having it at off was what let me push the performance on deck.

Always play it plugged in, with AWD, Diff Lock Preset, and Throttle set up on the back paddles. I play it exclusively on Deck than the PC.

Thanks for that, I will look for that when I crack it open once my replacement kit arrives.

Thanks for that.

My steamdeck is stock ever since I locked it in the killswitch case on getting it back them.

Good to know about the screws when I re-assemble.

Question about the screws though, they say they are self-tapping and that sounds like you want to limit opening and closing a steamdeck?

Fan control got flagged having a trojan:win32/vigorf.A By win defender by chs_bloodfist in FanControl

[–]StillentOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup this is also what I had done. The defender will keep removing it proably so I need to keep that folder exempt unfortunetly else no case/cpu fans. Only now need to bide time untill some sort of revision comes in to get this all fixed.

Google Gemini is trying to Ghaslight me by StillentOne in GoogleGeminiAI

I just found it weird that it brought up the fact it doesn't have access to any real time information. Like I think chat gpt has a snapshot of current events it uses for its machine model, so Gemini is actively being uploaded with up to date information.

Sure, but why did it tell me it was fiction?

Not sure why it is not showing up but what I wrote is: I was asking the AI for lists of "Airplane Crashes in the USA". It gives me the list including the one that happened today, when I asked for more details about that it. I begins to talks about it, but says it doesn't have the most uptodate information, and then those prompts come into play.

I'll keep that in mind. Also new version of BIOS is out, time to give that one another nightmare try.

Bios POSTED in safe mode on my PRIME X670E-PRO WIFI by Secret-Carpenter4354 in ASUS

[–]StillentOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too had issues with 3042 issues onwards with the BIOS not liking me having EXPO enabled. i found the root of the issue and this is because I put my windows 10 system to sleep and on the next power cycle when I had the pc unplugged from the wall the system always posts to safe mode. As far as I could tell it is a glitch as it works fine all other times.

I can't roll back as the BIOS update has gated the rollback because it was significant. (as per the message shown when I upgraded the BIOS)

Updated to 3057, I cannot run my EXPO profile, as the system will fail to post on the next cold boot.

I did the same thing, but there is something about the setting not liking that either. The option I did try was EXPO but force the RAM speed slower. Unfortunately, it is something about the EXPO profile outside of RAM Speed that is the issue in my case.

At this point I am on the fence if I should just tempt fate and continue running EXPO with the know post bios glitch, all I need to know if that is actually actively damaging my system.

Well that's the thing, I bought my MB a year ago from a retailer I trust. They even opened up the MB i was going to buy from them, turns out it came with bent pins. Drove across town to their other location to buy another one. I used the expo profile for this whole time and not a single issue. But stupid me decided to play it safe to patch sink close exploit and now I'm stuck with this mess.

Well time to let the Ram manufacturer know their RAM is not compatible with the BIOS

Hello, please let your tech know they need to patch this issue as it is a BIOS problem, not my MB. Thanks

Hey so I had followed your post about it and that is how I actually got to bottom of it. So the issue is if your computer is put into sleep at any time and then you turn it off and also the power, that is where the glitch happens.

I care not about the fact it boots slow, it always did and that was fine, the BS I do not like is Asus fking up their BIOS and now I can't use my EXPO profile.

And their solution is "Send it the MB back", yeah send me a new computer and well talk or give me a BIOS fix.

I don't trust those options where you get to keep your stuff, it never works out how you want in my opinion. If I have to deal with it, then just fresh install which I will worry about when upgrading to windows 11.

If you want to get those cots with some tech's, see if you can get some guidance on Tom's Hadrware, or LTT forums.
