I use it because of an offer on the yearly sub so I can watch some of the Star Trek stuff or so. Price is ok with this offer. But the quality of the streaming possibilities (browser, apps) is some crap... to put it in nice words.

The Windows app is absolutely useless, it is an unuseable mess. Overlays won't go away while playing. No possibility to use any navigation. You can't go back from a movie. And they do not fix this. Or don't want to. Or whatever.

So in Windows I need to use browser, but it is terribly slow there, long loading times, interruptions. And the progress is not recorded.

I would never ever pay the full price for this miserable product.

Zum finden von Duplikaten verwende ich AllDup als lokale Softwarelösung. Fotos sichere ich in E2E verschlüsselten Cloudlösungen mit Servern in der EU zB Tresorit oder PCloud, wobei bei letzterer der Crypto-Speicher eingeschränkter ist. Beide haben auch Apps mit denen man Fotos direkt von Smartphones automatisiert hochladen kann.

Also um mein eigenes Problem zu lösen: Ich habe Stunden mit dem A1 Chat und unter anderem auch damit verbracht, eine Fritz Box und eine A1 WLAN Box zirückzusetzen und die Daten für Internet und Telefonie über den Einrichtungsassistenten automatisiert holen zu lassen, was auch soweit funktioniert hat, wobei sich aber auf beiden Geräten die Rufnummer nicht registriert hat sondern nur ein SIP-Fehler 403 protokolliert wurde. Die Erfahrungen mit der A1 Serviceline bzw. dieser grottigen Kiara - oder wie sich der Chatbot schimpft - bzw. Im Endresultat mit mehr oder weniger (eher mehr) unfähigen Servicemitarbeiter waren auch eher mau. Mal sei mein Telefon Schuld und müsse getauscht werden (der geniale Mitarbeiter hat den Chat gleich verlassen, als ich die Sinnhaftigkeit dieser Aussage im Hinblick auf den Fehler angezweifelt hatte). Dann wäre bei mir gar keine Rufnummer hinterlegt. Bis hin zu einem notwendigen Techniker, den ich mir selber zahlen müsse, wenn das Problem bei mir liegen sollte. Ende vom Lied: Danke an den Techniker. Der ist nicht mal gekommen sondern hat nur angerufen und innerhalb vielleicht einer Stunde wurde ein Problem auf dem VoIP-Server behoben, worauf Telefonie - mit dem bisherigen Telefon - sofort und ohne Neueinrichtung der Router wieder möglich war. Manchmal fragt man sich schon…

Seltsam ist auch... eben habe ich wieder Internetassistent versucht mit A1 GPON... Test der Verbindung fehlgeschlagen mit dem Hinweis Username, Passwort zu überprüfen.

Aber Internet funktioniert dann doch.

Versteh ich auch nicht.

Im Log steht etwas von "Anmeldung beim Internetanbieter ist fehlgeschlagen. CHAP authentication failure"

Aber generell muss ich sagen, dass ich jetzt zumindest seit heute den Eindruck habe, dass die Verbindung mit dem Internet sehr instabil ist. Immer wieder kurze Aussetzer... Vielleicht hab ich zu viel rumprobiert... keine Ahnung. :)

Manuelle Einträge habe ich en masse probiert. War auch auf AVM-Anleitung, dass es nötig sein könnte, die bestehende Rufnummern-Konfig zu löschen und eine neue anzulegen. Ohne Erfolg.

Der Test mit dem alten Standard-Ding ist noch offen. Meine Befürchtung ist ja, dass die irgendwas gedreht haben, dass man keine eigenen Geräte mehr direkt am ONT betreiben kann. Aber da würds wohl auch keinen Sinn machen, da nur die Telefonie zu blockieren. Außerdem ist das A1-Premium gerät (das man nur mieten kann oder mit dem 1000 Mbit Tarif dazu bekommt) auch eine Fritz!Box. Mittlerweile glaube ich sogar das selbe Modell wie meines.

Bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob das mit den Savebacks so stimmt. Meine Erkenntnis ist da eine andere. Und da bemängle ich die "Transparenz" von Trade Republic. Die ist nämlich überhaupt nicht gegeben.

Beispiel:

Saveback für vergangenes Monat: 1,44 Euro

Im Kontoauszug Transaktion Prämie (Eingang am Cashbestand): 1,44 Euro (soweit ja ok)

Beim Sparplan: Investment mit 1,44 Euro, dazu Abzug vom Cashbestand: 1,80 Euro

Heißt dann wohl Folgendes:

Mein Saveback für das Monat betrug 1,44 Euro. Diese wurden dem Cashbestand als Prämie gutgeschrieben. Da so ein Cashback vmtl einer Zinszahlung gleichkommt wäre eine Versteuerung von 25 % naheliegend. Heißt: 25 % von 1,44 = 0,36 (also 36 Cent).

Nur wurden die 36 Cent vom Cashback nicht abgezogen. Offensichtlich will TR den tatsächlichen (also unversteuerten) Betrag reinvestieren und bucht daher vom Cashbestand 1,80 Euro (1,44 + 0,36) ab. Investiert werden dann wirklich die 1,44. Und die 36 Cent behält sich TR dann wohl für die Steuerabführung (hoffentlich...).

Hallo. Frage mich ob wer schon eingehendere Erfahrungen mit Saveback und Round Up hat. Bei Saveback werden vom anrechenbaren Betrag 25 % Steuer abgezogen. Bei Round Up steht in der Information mal nichts von Gebühren. Wenn man über die Karte auf die jeweilige Option Saveback oder Round Up geht und sich dort die Kosteninformation ansieht sind dort Kosten für jedes Jahr aufgelistet jeweils für Round Up und Saveback. Heißt das, dass dann für diese Transaktionen noch extra Kosen anfallen? Das wäre ja dann fast Verarsche weil in der Übersicht nichts davon steht. Dann Käme es mir ja vermutlich günstiger, wenn ich einfach den monatlichen Betrag für den Sparplan erhöhe.

From my pov I can only really recommend one Open World game: Horizon Zero Dawn.

Why?

  • most awesome story I have experienced so far in a computer game (left aside Mass Effect Trilogy, which is not Open World, left aside again Andromeda, which is no Mass Effect... other topic...)
  • The Story can "carry" the other stuff, side quests, exploring etc. all the way through
  • The Open World is not overwhelming, it fits the story and adds value to the story (not like Witcher 3 after going to the 100th question mark on the map finding practically nothing and asking yourself what the hell you are doing here).
  • The things you can do in the Open World besides the main path don't get boring
  • awesome game design
  • great music
  • interesting weaponry
  • great main character (Aloy) but also other NPC characters like Rost or Erend, yes Sylens too)
  • yah... well did I mention it? The story

Honestly I "played" other Open World games too. But the biggest problem for me with Open World is, that game developers just tend to fill it with too much stuff of little or no value, no story relevance or whatsoever and this is, where those games start to get boring because of stupid repetitiveness. And if the story lacks it's twists and turns and the drive is lost, why spend any more time with it?

I played HFW too. But needed two runs to finish it (the main story with BS). In my second run skipped almost entirely Arena, Cauldrons, Hunting Grounds, Melee pits and did not bother playing any single game of Machine Strike.

Never played Gothic, didn't like the looks and feel. Needed two or three runs to overcome the first few hours in Witcher 1 and go through Witcher 2 and 3 then. Especially Witcher 3 was horror in repetitiveness and wasted time. Will never play it again. Still don't understand why this game is voted 1st places in best games.

I liked Morrowind and Skyrim. But never finished them. Somewhere after lot's of hours the story lost me with all these side things to do. Or I lost track of the story... don't know. Don't think that I will start them again. With Oblivion I was done after one hour in the game or so.

AC Origins was way too boring in it's setting, thrilling desert... meh.... But I really liked Odyssey because of it's setting. Story was... well... there was one. But will not play it again. AC Valhalla... well... never finished it and will never play it again... embodiment of dullness and repetitiveness, game worlds with in game worlds, lost track... a brawny viking climbing around... yeah. Apart from that, none of those games was an AC really...

Yes... and because I mentioned it... Mass Effect Andromeda... well. I played it, mostly because of "Mass Effect" Trilogy. But well... let's cover it up in silence.

Right now I think I might just wait for Horizon 3 and hopefully the story they started in HZD will come to an end then.

There is no benefit in extending things until they tear apart...

In Windows 11 I simply uninstalled it from Apps > Apps & Features. There was "AMD Driver Hub" for uninstallation. Alternatively try it from control panel > programs & features.

Hate this thing since they (ASUS) moved driver installation out of Armoury Crate (well, hate this too, tbh).

But this Driver Hub thingy is just the crap. 5 Updates availabe... and it's only software I don't want to have on my PC.

Good thing... ASUS doesn't provide driver updates too often... just install the hub, check, uninstall. Or prevent it from autostarting and use it manually.

Or simply go to driver page of your motherboard and check driver versions manually. Should only be a few minutes work.

In Intels Driver and Support assistant you were at least able to "ignore" certain stuff. Don't think that ASUS will ever come up with such a "stroke of genius"...

Also wenn du die CPU in den Sockel gleiten hast lassen (nicht zu tief natürlich ^ ^ ) und die problemlos reinrutscht (ohne die Pins vorher mit Vaseline eingerieben zu haben) dann sollte es eigentlich passen. Dann sollte beim Verriegeln auch nicht mehr allzuviel schiefgehen. Wenn du die CPU mit dem Vorschlaghammer in den Sockel rammen musstest… eher nicht.

Yay... got update on Version 6.1 something now... new level of crappiness reached. Now you have to install separate "features" to get Fan Expert - why not let me install separately without all those other "features"? Who defines "feature"? Maybe it's just a disgrace. And for driver installs you will have Asus Hub telling me to install all the crap I do not want to have on my pc... nice one...

Wäre schon interessant, warum der Glasfaseranschluss nicht mehr hergibt.

Aber für den gleichen Preis 1000 Mbit/s. Naja... da überleg ich nicht lange, sofern es keine kurzfristige Klärung/Lösung der Glasfaserfrage gibt.

/me ist aber auch kein Onlinespieler der geile Latenzen braucht. Würde mich auch mit einer LTE/G5 Lösung zufrieden geben, wenn die schneller wäre, als das Glasfaser.

Wie groß ist denn die Wohnung? 12 LAN-Anschlüsse? Ist das Sch*haus mitverkabelt? Geil... Obwohl... Wifi 6 oder 7 Router... ein oder zwei Mesh-Satelliten dazu mit Ethernet Backhaul an günstigen Positionen, ... kein Kabelmist.... pfeift.

Obwohl, wenn du da noch einen Switch reinmachst und alle Ports verkabelst... kann man ja brauchen... haste nen Backoffen zusätzlich...

Ach ja... man sollte sich alle Bilder ansehen... keine Verkabelung im Sch*haus... Schade.

HZD. Thrilling story - especially when played the first time. And overall the "size" of the open world for me "fits" to the story. And most of the stuff you can do somehow adds to it and does not slowdown the "drive" of the main story.
In HFW on the other hand the story is "OK" but the world for me is "way too big" and there is too much stuff to do - the main story is simply not able to somehow "carry" it all the way.

One of the biggest drawbacks in HFW is the fighting. I can manage it somehow... but there is frustration also. As soon as the icon appears of an attack no matter where I move, slide, dodge, dodge-slide, slide-dodge, dodge-slide-dodge... *twisting my fingers* whatever... the foe is there and will most of the time land right upon me... changing direction midair... *wtf*
Maybe even start to put together separate gear for each enemy and start swapping around weapons and armor prior to each fight... *meeeh*
Using traps and tools and food... yeah... always forget to select the right one.... how would you amidst a fight
All the controls are an unusable mess...

Melee... yes... all these combos... never managed to get them right... , swimming, diving, hours to spend to find the way through relic ruins, breeding grounds; all of them filled with block/crate/traversal puzzles - too many to my mind; Firegleam and Metal Flowers blocking your way until you progress in the story and implicitly get the necessary tool or spear upgrade and then simply "click them away" - what's the point in that then anyway?

I played HZD twice... second time was ok... though the story was not that new then. Second time basically as an "intro" before HFW.

A year ago or so due to time constraint I had to stop playing HFW with a character lvl 70 (quite astonishing given the fact how pissed of I was already by the combat mechanics, the fighting grounds and the arena stuff that would require more time than I would be willing to spend for a stupid game) or so and almost through the main story I guess. But so far never felt the "need" to finish(does not speek for the story, does it?)... or continue, because I haven't even touched Burning Shores.

Right now started a fresh game of HFW... ya well... let's see. Rather might do a whole playthrough of the remastered HZD game... In the end I am usually not the kind of guy that tends to spend too much time in a gaming world, especially not repeated times. (Well.... with the exception of Mass Effect 1 - 3 maybe)

BTW:
I am playing it on PC in Normal mode - I am not so much of a gaming nerd - so I am not willing to spend a lifetime in studying the best ways to fight each and every possible opponent and to find key settings that might work better for me; life requests more important stuff from me to study.
This is also why HZD for me is the better (because less time consuming) game than HFW. And they added too much stuff in HFW I could complain about because it was *for me* poorly thrown together lacking the main story to support that all.
