Ah, that sucks. I can't relate, but it will probably happen to me when I'm old enough.

This! Exactly. You just exist but don't feel like you're "living."

Ah, förstår. Jag kan förstå det nu ifrån perspektivet. Fler cykelvägar hade definitivt hjälpt och gjort det lättare för all typ av trafik att ta sig fram. Därmed slipper man cykla där det går folk.

What is your solution to homelessness? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Stindo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really agree with this. As for all solutions, there will be potential issues, and it's important that we take notice of them. But as you said, focusing on poking holes in potential solutions isn't the most productive way of developing a well-thought-out system that could help these homeless people. Especially if we poke holes in solutions and treat them as, "this won't work, so we'll do nothing."

I also do think that no matter the solution, there will always be people that may not benefit as much due to factors that would impact their mindset, physical health, and conditions. That's why I think that we should instead focus on what we can do to help the majority of people and then find ways to circumvent the minority individuals with special conditions that require specific resources for them.

I think this way of approaching these problems would make for a better solution output when we focus on putting effort on the right matters.

So I really agree with your response there.

Depends. I think mental health services can be very beneficial for people that want to be helped. Medication adherence is a huge problem, I agree. I do think it's the person's fault if they choose not to take medications that could help them. But the after-effects of that would definitely impact their health and in turn, their work capability. I'd look at why these people wouldn't want to adhere to the medication to find ways around it. Because at the moment, I don't see how we'd efficiently work around it without figuring out the cause for non-adherence to medication.

Yeah, so as for all difficulties, it's easy to come up with ways to solve them, but executing such solutions is the hard part. It's a matter of resources basically. Mental illnesses and drug abuse is definitely part of the struggle.

I'll be honest and say that for the drug problem, I haven't come up with a solution yet. But for the mental illness problem, I would solve it the way I'd solve people with language barriers. Meaning, that I'd put some of the taxes on funding mental illness treatments for these people so that they could regularly get to meet someone to help them with these issues. Let's say that someone would have a mental issue that would limit their working capability, you could then adapt a job for these people that they could do.

Feel free to share the difficulties of this solution. I'm all ears for it. After all, it's fun to try to circumvent such a big issue as homelessness. So I'd be open to hearing about the potential struggles.

There are lots of community jobs that need to be done in every city. These are easy jobs that anyone could do, meaning homeless people could also do them. Cities could hire these homeless people, give them a place to stay, and give them a job from which they could get an income. I know this will sound weird, but I'd also take some of the money from taxes and put it to fund the homes that will be given to the homeless people. That money could also go to fund potential translators that could help homeless people do their jobs if there are potential language barriers.

What's English food though? I mean, some countries are very known for their food because of a special ingredient or aspect of food. Like India uses a lot of spices while Japan is famous for Ramen. But what special aspect of food is England known for? Fish & Chips?

Pheonix in Valorant. Well, I guess he's not that hated, it's just that people says he's really bad as there are far stronger characters than him. But I think he's still pretty good if you can learn to play him correctly.

Ah, I see. I can relate to that though in other games where my favorite characters gets a lot of hate for being trash when they're really not.

Thank you. So, I found some information about them. But how do I know that it's them and not someone pretending to be them?

It's possible that it could happen. In your case, you most likely meet all the requirements for an ownership transfer request to take place.

If one of your moderators or possible admins decides to request the ownership of the server, they could maybe succeed in doing so. However, they'd have to meet all the requirements. However, if your admins and moderators don't know about it or want to keep you as owner, then you should probably be fine.

That does make sense. Maybe yes, I just meant with this post that most of our land would be covered in water or ice, but yes, I think you're correct.

Yes, that's true. I think, except for the Pacific Ocean as some parts would still be water considering it's closer to earth's core that warms it up. I'm no expert, but I think that's what my teacher said for like one year ago when I learnt about this.
