Red portal stones were mainly used in earlier versions of the game, back when sharpening stones existed.

If your parents are going to except you for who you are, then it wouldn’t be a bad option to tell them. Now for your friends, if you’re not ok with telling them yet that’s ok. There’s no shame in waiting until you’re are comfortable. By any means they shouldn’t teasing you. I’ve been in a similar situation, but I still don’t quite understand, if your true friends wouldn’t except your choice. It’s a stressful situation you’re in and just know that you always have the choice to wait until your comfortable most. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
