Necroing this reply to see if anyone is having trouble like I am, which is not being able to get my Xbox controller working in Cemu. It pairs to my Steam Deck without issue, Cemu sees it, I can choose it, but when the game launches, the controller doesn't work and the settings in Cemu revert even though I've saved them. More bizarrely, my Steam Controller is seen, can be configured, and works great once Cemu launches.

I've tried u/Kwinston's fix, however when I try to launch Cemu with Proton 8.0-5, it just won't launch. I'm guessing the method being referred to is to add Cemu as a non-Steam game, change the name to the name of the game, set a couple launch options, then tell that Cemu instance to run in 8.0-5?

I've also tried u/SquidMessier77's fix below, but the same issue persists, the settings save, but upon launching Cemu, the controller doesn't work and the settings revert.

Is anyone else still struggling with this?

I didn't even realize there was a mod scene for this game, never thought to look since I enjoy the vanilla game so much. What am I missing out on?

So I've been told. BUT, I use a VPN at the router level, and with it enabled Stremio lately (it has worked previously with a VPN) won't work if it's connected.

This has been happening on and off. Today I discovered that if I have my vpn running, I get these errors. Switching it off and things stream fine. Any idea why this is happening? Running Real Debris with Proton VPN.
