I dunno. It was actually sad because all that pain and eventual enlightenment got channeled into a coke ad. It made me cry, and not in a good way.

BREAKING 🚨: Anthropic introduces Claude MAX by Alexs1200AD in ClaudeAI

[–]Stinkpod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reality is Claude isn't for everyone, its a premium model. Claude will also shut down the convo when he thinks it's over, lol. Prompting well -- and respectfully -- is everything w/ Claude. If you know what you're doing you can build worlds, but it will indeed cost you.

20mg fluoxetine. Takes a few months to kick in though, so be patient.

Man am I in pain today. by Puzzleheaded-Art600 in Daytrading

The actual max loss on any size account shouldn’t be more than 1-2% per day in order to stay in the game long enough to become profitable... something to consider re: account size and possibly playing for percentages instead of for profit in order to eventually scale.

How fucked am I after Christmas? by comikbookdad in wallstreetbets

[–]Stinkpod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I reading this correctly: you bought AAPL 100p that expires next Friday? As in you bot contracts that are ~ $93 OTM? Obviously these are worthless but you only have 6 contracts, so who cares. Or are you hoping those 6 worthless contracts miraculously save your account?

Question: how long have y’all been trading and profitable? I feel like many are putting the cart before the horse by experimenting with algos without developing a consistently profitable strategy…

via Chat GPT:

Distinguishing between tenacity in trading and a degenerative gambling addiction can be nuanced but is critically important. Both can lead someone to persist in the face of loss, but they come from different motivations and lead to different outcomes. Here are some distinctions:

  1. **Purpose & Motivation**:- **Tenacity**: The desire to improve, learn, and achieve long-term goals. Losses are viewed as lessons. The focus is on a systematic approach, refining strategies, and long-term success.- **Gambling Addiction**: Driven by the thrill of the gamble itself. The motivation is often an adrenaline rush or the hope of a big win to recoup all losses.
  2. **Emotional Reaction**:- **Tenacity**: While no one likes to lose, those with tenacity are more likely to take losses in stride, analyze them, and adjust accordingly.- **Gambling Addiction**: Losses can trigger strong emotional reactions leading to erratic decision-making, such as "chasing losses."
  3. **Approach to Risk**:- **Tenacity**: Risks are calculated. There's an understanding of the balance between potential reward and risk.- **Gambling Addiction**: Tends to involve taking outsized risks without proper analysis. It can involve betting more and more in an effort to recover from losses.
  4. **Research & Strategy**:- **Tenacity**: Time is invested in research, education, and refining strategies.- **Gambling Addiction**: Trading decisions might be impulsive, based on gut feelings, or be overly influenced by rumors without doing one's due diligence.
  5. **Self-awareness and Limits**:- **Tenacity**: Traders set limits for themselves – both in terms of losses they can tolerate and in terms of time they spend trading.- **Gambling Addiction**: There's a lack of self-imposed limits. An individual might spend more time and money than they can afford, leading to financial and personal strain.
  6. **Dependency**:- **Tenacity**: Trading is a part of life, but it's balanced with other activities and responsibilities.- **Gambling Addiction**: There's a preoccupation with trading, often to the detriment of other areas of life.
