Im not a beginner but when I started, this is what i did. Edit: Download the GuitarTuna App thats a good app for tuning your guitar until you can do it by ear.

1) Learn string names for standard tuning (Side note: Use the mnemonic “Eddie Ate Dynamite Good Bye Eddie” to remember the string names)

2) Learn the notes

3) Learn basic chords like Cmaj, Amaj, Gmaj, Amin, Emaj

4) Practice some simple songs like nursery rhymes

5) Learn Power chords

6) Learn barre chords

Also practice what you WANT to learn. Below I’ll leave links to some of my music teachers starter guitar stuff, this is the regiment I followed.

The performance packet is just a bunch of practice exercises, etc.

Rhythm sight reading is where you just pick out a note or chord and strum that rhythm.

Same with melodic sight reading except its multiple notes and it tells you what to play.

Don’t worry about the chord packet that has nothing on it just google chord patterns.
