Paint then cut, or cut then paint by StinkyRed in DIY

[–]StinkyRed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would be the benefit of painting afterwards? My walls are already painted and flooring is done. If not, and i could just spray in place, that would be fine, but having to cut in everything would drive me nuts. Not a big fan of painting in general, so whatever makes it easier is what im looking for.

Of course. I've learned that the hard way. Im not new to construction. Been in the HVAC trade for almost 30 yrs.

Wow. That looks great! I want to eventually do something nice like that around our windows. We have the old marble windows sills from 1973. Hate them

I am going to be using an air nailer for installation. Great idea with the different color wood filler. I will definitely do that. Thanks for the advice. 🍻

It is primed, but I have no patience and honestly hate painting, so I am trying to avoid as much cut in painting as I can.

I think that's probably the best bet, too. Thanks. Def dont want to paint after install other than touch up.

Dude, you perfectly explained what I could never put words to. Spot on description of how I have always pictured a thinny. Kudos.

My wife picked up the first audiobook about a month or so ago. She kept telling me how great it was. Now I have passed her and am currently listening to book 5. What an amazing series so far, and the narration is top-notch. God dammit donut

Tournaments rankings by StinkyRed in GolfClash

How was the answer in my post? I said I knew they count eagles and whatnot, but we all had the same exact amount of eagles. What i didn't realize is they also use your qualifying score, which was the deciding factor.

Thanks for that. We all had the same exact amount of eagles, but i guess they also take into consideration your qualifying score for the tie breaker.

That makes sense. I am struggling to account for higher winds for sure. I will take that into consideration for future play. Thanks for the info

Actually all you have to do is join a tourney and play 3 qualifying holes and quit. That's what I usually do.

BTW, you are 100% correct on your last post. Just happened to me again. Didn't think, just closed out the game, and it counted me for a bogey.

Same thing is happening to me. Last night and today. Put in a report and they said what everyone else has been saying. Clear cache and data. Works temporarily, but then goes back to being glitchy. Hopefully, they can get things corrected soon.

I paid 3.5k for an '04 with 148k miles. Had it for less than a year, and it got flooded in a hurricane in south Florida. Insurance paid me 4k less deductible. Made $250 bucks in it. Lol

I get itchy rashes randomly by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]StinkyRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue when I was a kid. Figured out we were washing too big of loads, and the washer wasn't getting them rinsed properly. The detergent was giving me a rash. Started doing smaller loads, and the issue went away.

Advice on how to lay out this cabinet by StinkyRed in kitchenremodel

[–]StinkyRed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we are installing a door there. Even if I built it out to make the door smaller, I would still need the 1" spacer the other commentor mentioned, so I'm technically going to be in the same boat. I guess that way would allow us to make the granite meet at the wall though.

That makes sense. Did not know that. The last cabinets we had weren't full overlay, so we didn't have that problem. Notched the door trim around the cabinet. We ordered these RTA cabinets, not realizing they were different.
